2007 Tati's Result
W/L - 33/12

#1 Medibank International - Sydney
R1 : Tatiana Golovin def. Shuai Peng 6-4 7-5
R2 : Tatiana Golovin lt. (2) Amelie Mauresmo 7-6(4) 5-7 1-6
Review : Tati did a good job beating Peng by saving lots and lots of BPs. She came short to beating Momo again despite leading a set and a break up. She didn't play that badly but she just couldn't close the match in the second set. Classic tank in the third set. Viva!
W/L - 1/1
Ranking Points : 35

#2 Australian Open - Melbourne
R1 : (20) Tatiana Golovin def. Anna Smashnova 6-3 6-1
R2 : (20) Tatiana Golovin def. Zuzana Ondraskova 6-2 6-0
R3 : Tatiana Golovin lt. (16) Shahar Peer 6-3 5-7 5-7
Review : The first two matches, Tati was playing well most of the time. Lots of winners. Against Shahar, choking ensued. BIG TIME. I didn't even know where to start. She was leading most of the time and had two matchpoints but played tentatively in both points. Credit to Shahar who is well known for her fighting spirit. Could have easily reached her second QF in GS. I consider this a pretty bad loss.
W/L - 3/2
Ranking Points : 90

#3 Open Gaz De France - Paris
R1 : Tatiana Golovin def. Alize Cornet 6-2 6-2
R2 : Tatiana Golovin def. (Q) Ekaterina Bychkova 6-4 6-4
QF : Tatiana Golovin lt. (1) Justine Henin 2-6 6-3 3-6
Review: Tati did play pretty well on her first match, capitalizing on her young opponent's DFs. Second match was pretty straight forward. Against Juju, Tati didn't do enough, despite being only her opponent's first match. Tati at least managed to get a set.
W/L - 5/3
Ranking Points : 70

#4 Proximus Diamond Game - Antwerp
R1 : Tatiana Golovin def. Katarina Srebotnik 6-0 6-2
R2 : Tatiana Golovin def. (5) Patty Schnyder 6-7(2)7-6(5) 6-2
QF : Tatiana Golovin def. Elena Likhovtseva 7-6(3) 7-5
SF : Tatiana Golovin lt. (2) Kim Clijsters 4-6 3-6
Review: Tati played very well on her first match. She was being very aggressive and her BH shots were pretty solid, these plus Kata's being on la la land, resulted with a beatdown scoreline. Tati got lucky on the second match. She wasted a SP and went on to save 4 MPs (one via controversy call) and the match eventually. In the SF, Tati brain farted pretty bad.
W/L - 8/4
Ranking Points : 125

#5 Pacific Life Open - Indian Wells
R1 : (13) Tatiana Golovin def. bye
R2 : (13) Tatiana Golovin def. Aiko Nakamura 6-07-5
R3 : (13) Tatiana Golovin def. (20) Samantha Stosur 6-2 6-0
R4 : (13) Tatiana Golovin def. (4) Nadia Petrova 6-2 1-0 ret
QF : (13) Tatiana Golovin lt. (33) Sybille Bammer 2-6 3-6 :cuckoo:
Review: First bad match and loss for Tati. It was very disappointing especially all the top opponents were already falling out of the draw.
W/L - 11/5
Ranking Points : 115

#6 Sony Ericsson Open - Miami
R1 : (?) Tatiana Golovin def. bye
R2 : (?) Tatiana Golovin def. Tatiana Poutchek 6-1 7-6(8)
R3 : Tatiana Golovin lt. (9) Anna Chakvetadze 1-6 3-6
Review: TBA.
W/L - 12/6
Ranking Points : 45

#7 Bausch & Lomb Championships - Amelia Island
R1 : (8) Tatiana Golovin def. bye
R2 : (8) Tatiana Golovin def. Catalina Castano 6-0 6-3
R3 : (8) Tatiana Golovin def. (12) Samantha Stosur 6-2 6-1
QF : (8) Tatiana Golovin def. Venus Williams 6-4 6-3
SF : (8) Tatiana Golovin def. (6) Ana Ivanovic 6-4 3-6 6-4
F : (8) Tatiana Golovin def. (1) Nadia Petrova 6-2 6-1 :worship:
Review: FIRST TITLE! Tati played one of her best tennis that week. Against Venus, Tati was again, depending on her solid groundstrokes and capitalizing on Vee's errors. Tati also did so many  volleys during the match. Her SF match was very exciting. Tati did not crumble to any choking that day and managed to beat Ivanovic for the very first time. Tati then went on to the final with surprisingly great confidence as she was totally destroying Nadya. VIVA!
W/L - 17/6
Ranking Points : 275

#8 Family Circle Cup - Charleston
R1 : (10) Tatiana Golovin def. (Q) Dominika Cibulkova 6-4 6-1

Gold Coast, Sydney (optional, depends on her mood;) ), AO, Tokio (in the case of her early AO failure), certainly Paris and most probably Antwerp - that's the way I see it. Anyway, she mentioned in a french interview (can't remember where though) that her favourite schedule was 10 days of hard-training, followed by two tourneys in a row and then "a little week off...", so we'll see how much she's gonna stick to it.

Tati is not on the enty list for Gold Coast or New Zealand. i really hope she enters one of those and Sydney so she has enough prep time before the Aussie starts.

looks like another year where we won't find out where tati is playing until the tournament begins! she'll probably play gold coast if she plays that week. auckland is already loaded for a tier 4.

as for 2007, i also think her schedule will be very similar to last year.

Does anyone know if she's scheduled to play the Hong Kong exho? Maybe that's the reason why she's not on the commitment list of Gold Coast/Auckland

She's not in HK exhi. If she does, I'd extend my HK stay since I'd be going there. *orgasms*

Tati usually commits pretty late for tourneys. i hope she at least plays one tourney before AO.

18 of the top 20 are playing Sydney and plus a few others i think were mentioned as playing, but Tati wasn't listed.

what the hell Tati? commit to something before the Aussie.

As for now, a well-informed friend of mine (thanx:wavey:) told me her ankle (I mean Tati's, right? ) still wasn't 100%, so it's not clear if she goes for Gold Coast or not...

I mean that her ankle injury has been a big issue ever since she got injured and it's been discussed on every site (blog/thread/whatever) dedicated to her I know of, including the one the link of which I posted above.

the only thing that was posted here was a french article , and i don't speak that language.

You're wrong, there were two articles posted here - the first one was (more or less) summarized and the second one even translated here:

at IW Tati will have a first round bye, and then just needs to win her second round match and she will have defended last years points. (remember the crappy match to Dulko?)

IW is a great chance for Tati to gain some points.

oh man, can't u come up with something better? I mean I'm quite dissapointed, it's rather annoying to play against someone who constantly hits the net u know?
First of all you should work on your pretty lame, "humorous" returns such as "ah orfeus il m'aime!", which are typical of juniors with a somewhat immature, stereotypical game, but they are quite embarrassing with an old (and I believe experienced;)) bloke like you.
Second, I'm not sure what do you mean by these "jealous" balls you are trying to hit all the time - at first they seem to go off as lobs, but actually they are dropshots, unfortunately, they even fail to go over the net.
On the other hand, your dogged pursue of fame and public attention is legendary:worship: , it's a shame your game is nowhere near this level.:o
To improve this, u really need to develop a better attITude:wavey: towards your team and especially towards your coach - you should keep in mind that they are here to help u ameliorate your game and get rid of the rather stupid mista...oops...errors you tend to make.
I believe they deserve some respect for that instead of accusations and lies.:ras: You had better avoid creating public controversies about sacking your previous coach too, bacause it doesn't help your game and your on-court concentration either and it actually blots your copybook.
Moreover, I was quite shocked when I learned from media that you were going to retire (I even heard something like you were dead!), fortunately it was nothing but gossip and I'm glad you're back to favour us with both your game and your warm and kind personality!:p

He didn't exactly say that. He just said she won't come to Strasbourg as she isn't even sure for RG.. But in fact we've been knowing this for weeks and he doesn't seem that well informed.
Anyway why would you be so sad ? Do you prefer Tati to play in Paris like last year and get injured again later or do you prefer her to take all the time she needs to come back at her best ?
And BTW We'll probably have the RIM results today

its a really tough one..shes trying to put on a brave face but u can see that she really wants to play on the red stuff....she would have had 5 weeks rest when the ankle takes 6 weeks to heal....if she went into it she'd have no practise..i hope she plays it but i dont mind if she doesnt
she said she did the same thing last year:eek: i swear she like tore a ligament or sumting? eek!

It would be incredibly disappointing if she had to skip RG, but on the other hand I know it'd be best for her to return fully fit.

Nobody wants her to rush back only to end up getting injured again, which if we're honest has a fair chance of happening with Tati.

French Tennis Sensation Tatiana Golovin to Star in DFS Classic

The French star is currently ranked 17 in the world and will take her place in the draw alongside world number four Jelena Jankovic at one of the most prestigious grasscourt tournaments in the world.

Tatiana exploded onto the WTA Tour in 2004 reaching the fourth round at the Australian Open and Wimbledon as well as her first Tour final at the DFS Classic and ended the year inside the top 30. 2005 was a similar success story finishing runner up in Tokyo and breaking into the top 20 although a run of injuries prevented the Frenchwoman from adding to her achievements.

2007 has been another great year for the 19 year old, re-establishing herself firmly within the world’s top 20. She won her first ever Tour title in April at the Amelia Island event beating Nadia Petrova in the final. She has also reached quarter finals in Charleston and Indian Wells and the semi final in Antwerp. In April her two victories over the Japanese team helped France through to the semi finals of the Fed Cup.

Tatiana Golovin said: “I’m really looking forward to playing in Birmingham this year. I’ve got some great memories from the event and will hopefully go one better than 2004 when I reached the final.”

DFS Classic Tournament Director Marjorie Howie said: “Tatiana has always been a huge crowd favourite when she has played at the DFS Classic and has an enviable track record in the tournament. It is fantastic to be able to announce that another top player will be joining a world class field in Birmingham this year.”

The DFS Classic will be played at the Edgbaston Priory Club, June 9-17th 2007 with tickets currently on sale via the Box Office on 0870 909 3015. This year’s qualifying event will run between Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 June 2007 with the main draw played between 11 and 17 June.

I`m not surprised by her decision to withdraw from RG. Frankly i think that she`s doing the right thing. As much as i want to see her play in RG, it`s not worth risking further injury if the ankle or foot isn`t 100%. Hopefully this time off will help Tati get better so that she can be ready for grass court season. So get well soon Tati!

Golovin won't be ready in time

The French player Tatiana Golovin who withdrew from Roland-Garros because of a painful ankle, considered Monday that she will probably be too short for Wimbledon, which will begin on June, 25th.

"I think I won't be prepared enough for the tournament as I will only have too weeks of training before, explained Golovin, during her reeducation.
Because of an injury at the right ankle, Golovin has not played for more than a month. Currently in reeducation in St Raphaël, she will be back in Paris next week-end to take a flight for Birmingham which will be her first tournament before playing in Eastbourne.
Satisfied with the tests she made in St Raphaël's center which show an improvement, Golovin doesn't think of making new tests. She will see that in England.

"I am aiming at making my comeback on grass so as to be in top form for the Summer to begin the hard court season", confessed Tatiana.

Meanwhile, Golovin may play the Fed Cup SF against Italy (July, 14th-15th) on clay, a surface which has caused the injury.

It's not great but it's better than nothing ;) .
