No surprise because at least one Canadian player always win a match in Quebec City every year not Montreal/Toronto!

Aleks :D :bounce:
Last year, Dubois won 2 matches to reach the quarter!
In 2004, Dubois won one match and Gloria two to reach the 1/4!
Drake wona match in 2003 and 2002 and Nedjely won a match in 2001!
I hope this year two Canadians will reach the quarter or maybe one in semis :D

:woohoo: Canada. Wozniak is probably my fave up and coming Canadian female star, imo she's got superior groundstrokes than that of Dubois and Pelletier. She's definitely got more power than the rest, but needs to find more consistency. She can be a really decent top 100 player, but I don't see her cracking the top 50 or anything like that.

Go Canada!!

Did you know Canada once produced a great tennis talent named Helen Calesi? (Maybe I'm spelling that wrong) Anyway she made it to 2 french open quarterfinals and was on the verge of the top 10 before brain cancer ended her career.

Anyway I'd love for a canadian to step it up. So many other countries have tons of players to cheer for.

Bremen - It's Helen Kelesi. There's also Carling Bassett, who made the top 10. :p

Great win for Aleks, hopefully she can take out Harkleroad next (sorry Ashley!).
