Flu, illness, fatigue are not serious injuries......

Let's call it the End-of-the-season syndrome.....

Exactly, I know players can also withdraw for "rest and recovery", that'S basically what those player did mostly, too.

the players surely strike WTA to reduce the schedule :haha:

Or they could just try scheduling better and not playing for 5 weeks in a row and then realising they are tired. ;)

 I have no objection to that...4 pools of 4, and the top 4 go to semi's?

that would be more sufficient no doubt.

personally i would rather that the YEC still retains the 8 player cut-off. but if this keeps on gettin worse with the injuries on the tour then i guess a 16 player-cutoff would benefit a player's health more.

 Patty suffering from fatigue... i'm not surprised

Love how most injuries are specific (eg left toe inflammation) and then you have Lindsay Davenport - "Injury" ;)

this can make the tournament more competitive. every players gotta fight for the top spot of their group. no more dead rubber :D
