Thats right:sad: Always when I think she plays better and better a injury comes back:sad: For example in 2005, she played so well at Wimbledon and US Open and after this a break for a long time....

I stay very optimistic and say Top-5. I think if she plays 12-15 tournaments she can do it for sure.

Nothing but 2pts. to defend until May!

1. Being healthy!
2. Working her way back into the top 10.
3. Then she'll push further on and we'll
sit back and enjoy the show seeing just
how far she can go! :D

the consolation venus and serena fans can take this year is that it cannot get any worse next year :D
anyway i am sure both of them would do pretty well.
i am not sure about ranking wise, but i do see them at least in Top 20 and winning a few titles.

Being realistic, I'd say top 20, around the #15 rank. Hopefully Vee will be able to play a fuller schedule next year. Exciting times could be waiting ahead :bounce:

it all depends on injuries and motivation i guess

she could easily be top 5 (if she's healthy and raring to go) or she could easily be top 100 (if she gets injuries and lets other interests prioritise over tennis)

it's a wait and see game i guess

Top 10, she and Serena will be back for REAL in '07

If she can stay relatively healthy and play anywhere near a full schedule she's easily top 10. The issue is whether she wants to play and if her body will hold up. I think she wants to, but injuries where she's off for months at a time are becoming more and more frequent.

If she plays a full schedule, no reason why she wouldn't be back in the top ten. After 1997 the only time Venus hasn't been ranked inside the top 10 was because of injury.
