Does anybody know what happened with Martin Verkerk from the Netherlands? :help:

He played quite good at Roland Garros a few years ago (even reached the half finals) and then I read his name at least at some smaller tournaments. But since about 1 and a half years I haven´t heard anything about him any more.

Did he retire, is he seriously injured or what?

O.k., this is a female tennis forum, but I just want to know it...

Thanks for any info beforehand. :worship:

This is more of a MTF question still. There is an entire cheering thread devoted to him there, where you can follow his progress recovering from injury.

He won in Q1 in Basel last week over Thorsten Popp, but he did not play Q2.

In 2006 he played two challengers before (One in March, where he retired and one in September where he lost).

Having read some of your previous posts, Upskirt Fan, I am rather surprised to see you showing an interest in Martin Verkerk. Does he by any chance have a tendency to lift his shorts while placing his 2nd serve tennis ball in his underpants that I wasn't aware of?
