Thank you so much everyone !
I knew 06 had to be great. It's a sign of mental toughness. All the pro's agree that the TB's are mostly mental. (thus Roddick's miserable record).
And once you're on a winning streak with them, you keep it and once you're on a losing streak with them, you keep losing.
Maria should be unstoppable in them for a while now.
Now WHICH one of you mathematicians wants to make the top 10 list above into Percents so we can see who is the best top 10'er in tie breaks ?

Yeah I just verified Lena's stats... :haha: Lena...:cuckoo:
But when I asked the question, for some reason she was the one who came to mind. If you're a 3 set queen, chances are you play tbs well.
But Maria and Lena! :worship:

Btw 3 of those tbs from Lena happened in Moscow weeks ago, including 2 against Patty.

You guys know what's even scarier? She only lost ONE match where she has won the first set, and that was to Henin Hardenne waaay back in the Australian semis. Basically, if she wins the first set, you're toast. That to me is amazing.

Yes it's just that one match - and she even should have won that.

Actually Patty is 85-56 after today's win in tiebreakers, which would make her the active player with the most tiebreakers won.
What a shocking stat.

Lena continues to amaze and confuse her fans. Still remember the US Open 2004 SF 3rd set tiebreaker against Capriati and US Open 2005 QF 3rd set tiebreaker against Davenport as her biggest wins in tiebreakers. Capriati one was more amazing since she played a sick return game to break Capriati to force it to the tiebreaker. Against Davenport, she was serving for the match and in the interview said that since her serve was not her favorite shot she was mentally preparing for the tiebreaker while she was serving for the match at 6-5 followed by laughter from the reporters. Got to love her.

And remember...she got robbed on two calls that would have given her two extra games. She won enough points to win that match...even more impressive.
