It was pretty much as I expected, though. Not taking anything away from Sveta, because she's on a real roll, but Jelena was always going to be tired after such a late match last night and it showed. Thankfully, she's not playing Moscow so she can recuperate a bit. She certainly needs a rest.

Just exhausted, I think. She starting cramping again during the Pironkova match and said she was sore today. Plus, she didn't get to bed until 3am so she didn't have the longest recovery time.

I think it's less a case of Jankovic not playing so hot as it is a case of Kuznetsova playing like crazy. I'd imagine it would be similar regardless of what kind of rest Jankovic has gotten. Honestly, Kuznetsova is the benchmark at the moment, and Jankovic is a close 3rd.
