Well it won't be Mary or Li Na because they won't qualify :haha: :haha: , but Nadia has a chance to qualify :ras:

I bet at least 2 players will withdraw so any player ranked 10 in the Race will qualify for YEC. Hopefully that means we will see Jankovic play in the YEC. On the other hand, that means we are pretty much guaranteed that Nadia and Patty will also be in YEC :help:

Well I dont think Justine cares about being number one and Kim should take some rest too but unless Ju is 100% fit she wont play..So I think shes most likely not to play..

There should be an option for all three

But I chose Clijsters
there is.... you can chose 1, 2, 3, or none.

Juju is almost a fact...
And probably Kim, then even if she plays, she won't be in a great form I guess...

Momo - she needs some rest, but I guess she's not missing this tourney.

I agree, at least 2 if not more. I voted for Kim but probably Justine too.

I just hope that the players playing almost every tournament to qualify, Safina., Schnyder, Petrova, Jelena, etc., have anything left, should they qualify

I rekon all three

All three.

Then Sharapova will win the title of course with a weakened field.

All three will.

Noooo....I hope none. It just wouldn't be the same and they deserve to be there. It's just not the year-end Championships...without Justine and Amelie who are slam holders and have played so consistently well this year. I want a fight amongst champions not girls who have so much still to achieve to be called that.

Mauresmo will be there. She'll try to defend. I actually think all 3 will be there. The worst scenario is maybe 2 out of 3.

If all 3 retires, what's the point of watching the YEC?

We all know Sharapova will definately win it... barring an upset....

I want Amelie and Justine to play.... this could determine who is the best player of the year between them and Sharapova.

And Clijsters have a score to settle too for her defeat to Sharapova earlier this season....

Who Will Most Likely Withdraw From YEC?

Everyone.

The highest ranked player at the YEC will be Maria Elena Camerin.

The remainder of the roster will be filled by:

Agnes Szavay
Jelena Dokic
Ai Ui (Chinese doubles specialist who had never before played a singles match)
Maria Jose Eugenia Sanchez Rodriguez Martínez Lopez Gonzalez (9 y.o. Spanish wildcard)
Larry Scott in drag
A very tall woman who was passing by on the street and who looked kinda like a player
Three other reluctant women picked at random from the crowd

The final result: the very tall woman wins.

By any chance that could be Maria Sharapova in disguise? :p

If not, who is she?

I say there is a really good chance that Justine and Kim both withdraw. Mauresmo will play I would think.

juju but I hope that all 3 will be able to play or this would be really bad for the WTa Tour. I remember last year where a lot of male players withdraw and this was really boring. So get well soon Ame, Kim and Juju.
