I think it was Pierce in Australia, but it would have to be confirmed...

Pierce lost 30 games in Australia '95. That's basically 2 games a set for 7 matches.

Look at Chris at Roland Garros in the 70s, or even early 80s.

Serena in 2002 lost 29 games at the US Open. Not sure if that's the record but to give you an example of how dominant that was. Henin was dominant at this year's French and lost 39 games. Pierce in 95 lost 30 games.

Zero. In 1909 Dorothea Chambers won the final 6-0 6-0 in 25 minutes . As defending champ it was the only match she had to play.

Both the score and the time remain Wimbledon records.

Other dominating slams
Wimbledon 1884-Hillyard lost 5 games in 3 matches.
Wimbledon 1923-Lenglen lost 14 games in 6 matches.
Wimbledon 1925-Lenglen lost 5 games in 6 matches (1 walkover)
Wimbledon -1932-Wills lost 13 games in 6 matches
Wimbledon -1954-Connolly lost 19 games in 6 matches.
Wimbledon -1965-Court lost 21 games in 6 matches.
Wimbledon-1983-Navratilova lost 25 games in 7 matches.

This is extremely impressive, not just the scorelines but the quality of players who she beat. To beat McNeil, Coetzer, and Graf losing only six games in total is quite amazing :worship::eek:
