Starting at 4:35, Jana leading 4-1 40-30 in the final set. :o
You should watch the earlier points too though because Jana played some excellent points there.

And afterwards she claimed that she was NOT nervous.

Ahh Jana, she had used to have bad luck before that 1998 triumph, for which I am grateful.

When she cried on the court after that loss, it was the most emotional I've ever seen any tennis player, I loved watching Jana Novotna :worship:

Noooo GoDominique, I hate that match, it's a torture for me.
Graf-Novotna Wimbledon 1993 (I was only 10 y.o. but I remember everything) and JHH-Nastya Athens 2004 are my 2 biggest tennis-nightmares.

It wasn't that bad. OK she played a few poor points in the 4-1 game, but she got it together and got a break point in the very next game, only to have Steffi hit a brilliant backhand pass. That was when she broke down completely. She was still up a break then. :tape:

Who cares about the 93 final when we've got the 98 one? Jana. :hearts:

I'm tempted to click, but I simply cannot watch.

The mother of all chokes, absolutely.

I've never seen that before, how awful for Jana. I bet she played absolutely amazing grass court tennis in that second set.

She won it once, at least. :D
