I absolutely love this girl. Been a fan since 2005. She's really talented, and showed it today. It is unfortunate that she lost though. Had a huge opportunity, and then the 3rd set was just...:help: Good luck in the future Shuai. :inlove:

I think Shuai was not used to the conditions in India
after all, she just arrived Tuesday night while Mirza has been playing there for week
the crowd was probably also all on Mirza's side which may be difficult for a young player like Shuai to deal with

anyway, I hope she at least beats the Japanese girl

Shuai's latest results are great while her start to the season has ben awful but she took Garbin to three sets in Fed Cup and that on clay in Italy and after that she won Chengdu 1 and 2 and Changsha in China and beat Yuan Jia a chinese WC 6-0 6-2 and plays Ye-Ra Lee hope she can continue her nice winning streak and can enter Top100 soon because China deserves a new great player :D

And Shuai's title #4 in a row with a solid 6-3 6-3 victory over Regina Kulikova.Her next tournament is the 25k in Noto where Casey Dellacqua and Erika Takao are ranked before her so I hope she can do well outside of China too :)

Shuai played really well. She was mentally stronger and more consistent than Kulikova today. :D

I don't think she has proven herself too much on WTA level yet, although traveling with the first ladder will help her progress for sure! Shame Ren Jing couldn't join her on her travels, she has been very disappointing this year in singles, as have Chun-Mei and Sheng-Nan although in doubles they have made great progress... Keep developing, girls :banana:

as far as I know,Sheng-nan needn't, Liu Wan-ting once belongs to the army-related team, so did Huang Lei of Tianjin

The CTA has always made weird decisions i suppose :lol: Hope Ren Jing and Chen Yan-Chong and Xie Yan-Ze recapture the form they were showing earlier in their still young careers :yeah:

it means she will allow the team (na li, zheng jie, yan zi and tiantian sun) to play the tour, not many ITF tournaments.

IMHO, she should get to the Top 100 first. Yes, her latest results have been great, but let's not forget how awfully she had played prior to May.

Should be interesting to see how she plays from this week. :)

The reason why I'd like her to play Challengers is because she has a good chance to make the Top 100, which would allow her to get direct entry into the OZ Open, & other WTA events. :)

Losing early week after week isn't doing much for her confidence, either...
