I like Suvarnabhumi Airport but it's too far :(

30 kms from central of Bangkok. i don't think it's too far.

It's more convenient for the visitors comparing to the Don Muang Airport.

nicky, it's just 10km from my university {abac bangna} so you could go by the highways! believe me, it's not take a long time! it's less than 1 hour from my home to abac so it's should be 1 hour from the downtown to here!

so i and my family plan to go to china during the new year so i can't wait to be there!

I was there on first day....arrived from Hongkong..
On first day around 9.30 am..there were some works to be done...ot os very Grand I have to say..
THr immigration officer complaint that they have not got used to keyboards...lucky I did not check on my luggage as my flight on Thai 603 got luggage delayed almost 3 hrs...

I thought it was far but by Taxi it took me 37 minutes to Silom area and cost me around 287 bath (50 bath surcharge) plus toll (60 baths)...
When I went back again next day like 6 am...it took me like 28 minutes...check in was horrible..long lines and not organised yet......this time..my flight got delayed over 1 hr to jakarta...it was chaos when Air Asia and Thai to jakarta on same gate...could not believe it...( D1A)...ridiculous...but this time..all stores are open and it is long way to walk...I am not sure about efficiency yet and I saw some westerners still tarin Thai people in screening luggage and some glitch in computer system....overall it is forgiven as the first day but I just read the newspaper this morning that one of Thai executives got sacked over luggage delayed...feel sorry for him...

BTW..I did watch ATP match and long way from Silom...I saw when Danai got crashed from Ginepri andHanman's matches..many bad calls for Henman...

I agreed...I thought it would take me over 1 hr to Silom in the morning...to my surprise it was 37 minutes...my Taxi driver showed me the time clock...somehow it is faster than Don Muang...agreed??:)

Sounds nice! I've only been the once, recently, and used Don Muang. I recall the long taxi queue out front, waiting after such a long flight. I'l be back and can see the new airport next time.
