Putting it out there. She could if she keeps her form up.

Nope. Plenty people ahead of her that will make it, that deserve to make it.

Yes, she'll have a great hardcourt season and a solid run at the USO. (QF or better).

She has a nice shot at it. :) If she reaches QF of US Open at least and plays big tournaments during European Indoor Season with succes she has big chance. Go Nicole!

We don't need Sharapova's attitude either, but that was not the question.

Anyway, Nikki is her to stay for a long, long time, so you better get used to it...

I agree w/ MightyMashaFan....she definately has a GREAT shot....I didn't see a vote for maybe...so I'll be optimistic and say yah....

as it stands right now, she's about 300 or so points out of 8th place....with the points from this week, she should be a bit closer...however, Patty and Elena, 8th and 9th respectively, play A LOT more tennis that Nicky...we'll see if that hurts her or helps, but I imagine she should have to play at least 7 tourneys after the open to even THINK about going to Madrid...but I definately think she has a shot!

She has a great chance but IMO the current top 8 in the Race should play this year's YEC

WHy not? She is playing really well at the moment, she is physically fit, she doesn't have injuries and if she keeps it up this way, she definetely has a big chance to be at the YEC.

I think she has a great shot at making the 7th or 8th spot. shes solid on hard courts and should do well at the US and other tournies now shes moving up to tier 1 and 2 level

though I don't like her, she can go to the YEC, if she does well at Flushing. It would be logical to play the YEC but I would prefer dinara or Nastya or both...

She has a chance. But hopefully it isn't over Martina's spot.

her best shot at it is by getting into the 9th spot and patiently waiting for one of the top8 to drop out due to injury - look for henin, petrova or clijsters to do so at the last moment the way things are going so far in 2006.she'll be in a very tight fir though, considering ALG and Safina are best at indoors which are soon to come.
so as said here already - USO QF are her best shot for the ticket, though even that may not be enough - schnyder, her most advantaged rival for the 9th spot is currently doing just as well as she is, if not better in the hard court season.
