Hello. Just checking to see if anyone knew if the following players were retired/injured/taking a break from tennis:

Lenka Nemeckova
Nadejda Ostrovskaya
Delia Sescioreanu
Surina de Beer
Silvija Talaja
Marie-Gayanay Mikaelian (I know that she played some tennis earlier this year but haven't seen her on any draws lately)

Thanks ;)

I was thinking the other day. What happened to Sylvia Plischke?

For the past 2-3 years, De Beer's been coaching part-time at Sutton JTC in South London. It may be that she's gone full-time there now.

Nemeckova. I saw her name somewhere recently, so I'll just check. Oh, it seems she's been injured, as she played her first competitive match since last October, at Vittel $50k in France a couple of weeks ago, when she lost to Raluca-Ioana Olaru 6-1, 6-1.

Sescioreanu hasn't played since last September, and Ostrovskaya since last December, so I think we can safely say they've both retired.

Talaja last played in February this year, whilst Mikaelian last played in May, so I'm not too sure about those 2.

Anyone knows about Myriam Casanova?

I think she may well have retired too, sadly.

Anyone have any info about Teryn Ashley?

She played one match back in January, then nothing since.

Myriam  I remember she once made the third round of Wimbledon and played Henin? I really liked her
