I loved Appelmans and Monami (Van Roost) but I'm not a fan of any of the current group of Belgium players as good as the top two are. That said one has to admire the Henin backhand even if the personality behind it hardly endears me to her. I voted for Els Callens.

I like Dominique Monami too, a lot. But why being so negative about Juju? She is very sweet and intelligent. Maybe you have to hear her talking in her own language, then she sounds very different. And she needs a different hair cut. A few years ago she looked better. I am inclined to think you are judging her on her appearence, and not personality.

So did Boris Becker, Stefan Edberg, Bjorn Borg and dozens of other professional tennis players that live in European countries which tax their citizens at an enormous rate (most all European countries). I guess they wouldn't have to run to Monaco if Europe wasn't in such a welfare state.

However, you never see the American players doing that.

Amazing isn't it! As we all know, Martian Jezza is a Justine hater, BUT he only ever posts in Justine threads? Very strange

BTW she didn't move to Monaco for tax reasons, she moved there:

1. The weather is better for her to practice outside

2. She gets hounded by the Belgium press everytime she walks outside her front door. In Monaco she doesn't.

:ras:

Martian, why are you so obsessed with Justine?

Based on :

° Passion for- and dedication to the sport,
° Outstanding workethics and professionalism,
° Amazing variety and finesse of her game,
° Courage, integrity and modesty,
° Exceptional off court engagements and appreciation
(such as les20coeurs and Unesco),
° Etc ...

:) My vote goes to Justine Henin Hardenne.

With lots of sympathy for the hero of the
Fed Cup SF against the US : Kirsten Flipkens!

Sure she does! One of the funniest things I've ever seen was during an ESPN on court interview with Pam and Justine. Pam was raving about Justine's movement during the match, and the director switched to a clip showing a long point between Justine and her opponent. Instead of a slow motion shot, they screwed up and ran the clip in fast forward mode - it was hysterical!
So now, it's back live to Justine and an embarrased looking Pam. Justine giggles for a moment and says, "wow, I really am fast"!

Errrr,

I wrote a reply to your post but deleted the whole thing
when I noticed 'jujufreak'.
I'm not sure atm, (will check later), but I think this is the
name of a poster at Ju's official site. Correct me if I'm wrong,
but I think I've noticed that name before.

Anyway, I'm not a member of Ju's OS, have never posted in
her forum before, nor do I have plans to do so in the near future.
I only post over here in H2HQ since +/_ half a year.
Could it be that you mistake me for someone else?

You must be a JHH fan to believe JHH has a personality ! Yes she has one : She's full of herself and a sad girl with her complaints about the poor childhood she had... Oh yeah, to not forget the injuries and illness excuses as she has lost a match or simply to not taking part at some events...

Ok, back from my little research round at Ju's OS.
I found a French speaking poster named jujufreak_jufreak.
Maybe this is the person you confuse me with?

Besides, I'm Flemish (Dutch speaking), so not only am I not a
member of her OS, my French isn't even good enough to feel
the need to participate in the French spoken parts of her forum.

Anyway, I do hope you realize your mistake and correct it,
because I really think this is a little bit weird and scary.
Thank you.
