The size of a photo?

When I load a pic as an attachment, whats the max. size that the pic can be?
Also, is there a limit to the size a pic can be if I show it using the IMG address?

only imagefiles are allowed, I think it's 140 Kb, but I'm not sure.

I don't think there's a limit in size of the picture..I already posted a gigantic pic before, and the forum looks terrible then...lol but it's possible :)
