Ok, Amelie is the Queen. But Vera!

She's playing the best mixed-doulbles tennis that I've ever seen. She's playing terrific!

Well done Vera and Andy! :bounce:

good play for vera, this will definitely give her a boost in singles :D

yes she played amazing tennis...but she tends to be streaky like this, great tennis for a few matches and then sub-par for no apparent reason sometimes...lets just hope it carries forward to her singles game!

She was fantabulous. She carried Ram for the win. I can't believe she's not doing that great in singles when she showed out there earlier how good she is capable of. And get this she was smilling and having fun!~!~!~ How come she don't do that in singles????

Vera has caught some terrible draws this yr, Kim in the first rd. here.. Vera is a better player than her WTA ranking indicates. Very happy for her success today.

I think she relaxes in doubles, she smiles a lot more and never has a meltdown.

Some redemption for such crappy singles draws!

She's always superb in mixed doubles. It's not her first mixed GS crown.

I was really impressed. I was rooting for VeeBob, but Vera deserves some success and joy considering her singles performaances of recent. She strikes the ball so well... and she seems like such a sweet girl.

And this was Ram's first slam title - so well done to both. They REALLY deserved it.

Hopefully this will give her confidence for the rest of the season!! Hopefully she won't get a top player at The US Open right off the bat again:lol:

Vera just won singles title at Birmingham a few weeks ago didn't she? (But noboday paid attention.) I think that's a good sign that she is back on her feet.

Didn't she take the fed cup doubles decider in 04 too?

She as playing really well.

Her ranking in singles would probably be a lot better if she hadn't had two awful GS first round draws and teh cras new rules meant you have to count two 2 points in your ranking total.

She was really zoning in the final but it will be much harder for her in singles because in the doubles her partner can calm her down but in singles 1 thing will go wrong and then it all goes wrong but she played great still

Yay Bepa! :D

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to watch any of her doubles matches this year. Navratilova was on TV the other day saying that she and Mark Knowles were astounded by how well Vera was playing so it's no surprise that she and Andy won.

Vera is maybe similar to Daniela who has also had bigger successes in doubles recently. A partner on court helps to keep up their positive attitude and focus.

Vera has to start looking for her Olympic doubles partner.
She's won Wimbledon & the US Open titles in mixed.
Sghe can win an Olympic medal also.
She is a good doubles player
