...will correct their head-to-head first?

Serena Williams returns in a couple of weeks :bounce: Her return to the tour can only be a good thing. She is a superstar with an amazing repitoire of shots and fantastic movement.

However, many of her head-to-head records are outdated to say the least. There are a handful of players with a very slight losing or tied record against Serena, and it is only a matter of time before these losing records are left as artifacts circa 2k2. Or is it?

So which player, if any, will take the lead first?

As much I would love to see Serena wipe her ass off the court, Justine will be hard to beat.

If Kim plays this summer like she did last summer, she'll be hard for anyone to beat. I don't have a clue about their H2H, though.

You know what you little gay boy, you're starting to annoy me  The better question is "Whose ass will Serena kick when she gets back." I have a feeling she will start with you, and deal with the others later.

Hingis :haha:  :smash:

Who's to say that Serena's head to head will change against any of them in a negative direction?

Well, LOL, since I feel forced to choose I'll say Sharapova.

All of them can easily take the lead in their H2H vs Serena. I highly doubt that Serena will come back in tip top form. When you're away from the game for that long, you can't just start beating up on the top players right away, especially the likes of Jusine, Sharapova, and Hingis. Venus isn't so great at the moment so that can go either way.

Henin

sorry, i don't see serena losing to henin on any surface other than clay. she will have too much to prove.

i voted sharapova, since they're tied now and they've played really close matches in the past.

Kimgay, I think you're assuming that Serena is going to come back and lose to everyone. Many players have a layoff and then come back and beat people and win titles. She'll be fresh and ready to add on some points.

you're right; i am assuming that, when she comes back, she will lose to these players [initially] more than she will beat them. after a few months, that trend may or may not reverse. i don't have a crystal ball though, and indeed, serena may defeat these players right from the word 'go'

sharapova and serena were one match away from answering this question - i guess we'll have to wait!

Of those I would say Justine. Maria is hype, Martina doesn't have enough power, and Venus is practically on her way out the door.
