She hasn't played in about 5 years so would assume it's safe to say retired...she had pretty eyes as I recall...

She's been retired for quite a while and is now a commentator for tennis matches on Sky Sport Italia.

I remember the match she played against Chris Evert at 89 Wimbledon. She was quite young at the time, but yeah I assume she retired ages ago.

Reminds me of another Italian player of the same era, with a similar name - Laura Garrone.

Laura was up 5-1 in the third set as I recall. Chrissie refused to lose :worship:

Yeah it was an amazing match, I became a fan of Laura's after this! Who knows what that win could've done for Laura's career.

No

but she had a long match against Noelle Van Lottum, that Laura won 12/10 in third after saving matchpoiints

not the record of game, and not the record of time because it's for Van Lottum and another french, Virginie Buisson : 6/7 7/5 6/2 in 4 hours and 7 minutes! Buisson saved match point and was trailed a set and 5/2
