ok - so what is going to happen here - surely England will win right??

Wll rooney play, how will they play without neville, what are your thoughts??

Im thinking wooney wont play for the full match but might be brought on for owen later in the game but apparently T&T can be trather full on in front of tackles which scares me a bit cos of rooney -= but oh well - i guess svenny will decide

and then we will all criticise or praise depending on the result

YAy GO ENGERLAND :);) :bounce:

I just hope they do themselves justice...and that its not as hot as it has been.

Id like to see Walcott come on at some point.

Julie
Jun 15th, 2006, 10:46 AM
I think walcott should come on too - i mean hes been icked after all. Maybe we'll see him today or maybe against sweden,

Infact if england win today it guarantees qualification so he might just play walcott against sweden to save owen or rooney or someone - who knows how the big man thinks!!

(Gosh i never knew i knew so much about footie lol) - i still dont have a clue about the off side rule though :o

England were so terrible tonight, but good goal for Gerrard, and (and Crouch  )
The mazing thing is Crouch has now scored 6 goals in only 9 Internationals! :tape:

Lennon was electric, went past players like he was gliding and good to see Rooney back:)

not as lucky as Germany yesterday...

At least Germany played decently yesterday, lost or won, they were not bad, plus Poland was really good....I love England´s game but today was just a pain.

England weren't lucky to win, if you had most of the chances you can't be lucky to win. Same goes for Germany.

congrats to England.

Trinidad played almost the entire game with ten defenders in their half. too much caution sucks.

Jun 15th, 2006, 07:14 PM
england was not lucky, that's true. they were better than...trinidad and tobago :woohoo:

england sucked today. trinidad deserve respect for fighting this well.

Wow, England were lucky to win that match.

Trinidad was lucky not to lose by 6. Crouch blew a bunch of chances, Lampard too.

well done,David,he passed the good ball

He did? Well... He seemed to have forgotten how to take free-kicks throughout the whole match.

Don't worry... I was slagging him off the whole match... until he scored. The goal he missed in the first half when nobody was around him and he had plenty of time to calm down and get the ball in the back of the net was just shocking.

Well 3 points and qualification are all that matter so :bounce: for that & the goal from Gerrard :worship: but there is no hiding that we played like crap

I do think we picked up after the substitutions but the first hour was awful...

The thing is I think a manger has only a very limited role in international football, its really down to the players to perform...Lampard normally so lethal, missed so many chances...so many other England players, Gerrard, Beckham, Cole, Owen...struggled.

Lennon was a bright point though.

Some want him to start next time.

Jun 16th, 2006, 04:09 AM
Whew... England just nicked it... even though improved performance, but still... :tape:

MOMENT OF THE MATCH: Wayne Rooney returns!!! :bigclap: England played much better when he and Lennon came on.

MISS(ES) OF THE DAY: Just how did Peter Crouch miss 2 easy chances in the 1st half is beyond me (especially THAT ONE). And Owen... you should have scored 2 from the rebound and Becks' free kick.... :(

FUNNY MOMENT OF THE DAY: Dwight Yorke's "crown jewels" receives a "rude welcome" from Steven Gerrard :haha:

SAVE OF THE DAY: Terry's goal-line clearence in the 1st half... if that had gone in, God knows what will happen...

AND FINALLY... DEJA VU MOMENT OF THE DAY: Shaka Hislop (the T&T goalkeeper) must be feeling that he was in the FA Cup final against Liverpool. The 2 goals scored were from the SAME PLAYERS who scored against him, he got beaten by Gerrard AGAIN from a long range strike, and the 2nd goal was scored in the SAME MANNER AND TIME as the FA Cup Final. What are the odds of that happening?
