Oh, god forbid a girl plays guitar and writes her own lyrics, as opposed to dancing around looking like a whore and having other people write their lyrics for them.

If the Devil was a woman and had a face, he would be Ann Coulter.

I dispise that woman, I honestly sit and ponder how someone can be so fucking clueless and have their head so far up their own ass, so much so that they don't know what's going on in the REAL WORLD. :smash:

Clueless? Coulter is many things, but I'm not sure that clueless is one of them. The woman makes big $$$ of her persona.

I agree. But I think a true artist cares mostly about making music, not the cash, otherwise half of them wouldn't be doing it, they could make more money doing something else. Only a small percentage of musicians (if you can really call Beyonce a "musician" :o ) actually make it to that point of recognizability.

Speaking of musicians, there are two good ones performing back to back. K.T. Tunstall on Jay Leno and Regina Spektor on Conie. I couldn't ask for anything better. :hearts:

She accuses liberals of being intolerant, but she was completely unresponsive even to Jay Leno's moderate viewpoints in asking her questions...he even said to her, "You have some good points in this book, but the wording in this book is what puts people off and a lot of people still haven't even seen your point yet. Do you understand where they're coming from?" She just looked at him and flatly stated "No."

I swear to God they found every conservative in NYC (all 300 of them lol) and put them in the audience tonight as well. People went nuts when she walked on stage. She would've been booed off anyplace else. I'm not saying it's right, but it would've definitely happened.

And on a different note, KT definitely has some talent. I was pretty impressed.

Jay Leno is taped in front of a live studio audience in LA. Actually that probably is worse than saying NYC. :tape: The first time I saw K.T. was on Conie. He gets a lot of good musicians on his show. I wonder what Regina Spektor is going to sing tonight.

KT has a ton of great songs, she's one of the most unique musicians to come around in awhile.

I love that in her live performances for Black Horse and the Cherry Tree she starts doing the hand trumpet thing! :yeah:

Ewww...Gross. You must have missed her performance on 106 and Park. It was awful. Her voice is weak. They tried to help her out by playing her recording vocals in the background but it seemed to have made her worse. At least KT was on key. LeToya is going to need some luck to survive after her first album. She ain't getting it from the 106 and Park watchers.

So it's out of the realm of possibility that Ann makes points that people agree with? That's a cop out saying they stacked the audience. :(

Controversy sells.
Carlin is always amusing. What is he now, 70?

The fact she went on, is good for her. She doesn't
back down. No matter what. You have to hand
that to her.

Her book is #1.

Susan Estrich (Dukakis campaign manager & writer) has
a good piece on this today. It's about selling. Coulter
does believe what she says politically. But, she is also
smart enough to know she has to set herself apart to
get noticed, and to sell her work. Personally, I don't
think she said anything more outrageous than many on
the left have said about Bush, Cheney, the soldiers,
conservatives, etc. It was mean spirited in my view,
not necessary, and it did detract from her legitimate
point. In the end, I don't think she really needed to
write the few sentences she did about the 4 Jersey
Girls, to make her point about their liberal & Democratic
Party activism, and profit ventures.

Obviously some people agree with her points, otherwise her book wouldn't be #1. Leno isn't taped in St. Louis though. It isn't taped in Provo. It's taped in one of the most liberal cities in the United States. The AVERAGE audience for a show like that is going to be extremely liberal.

Secondly, people don't have a problem with Ann Coulter because she's conservative. They have a problem with her because she's hateful. Her comment about the 9/11 widows did have some validity to it, but the way she phrased it completely disgusted people and didn't leave them open to the actual point of her comment. She's attacked just about every minority group and made completely outrageous statements like that America would be better if women weren't allowed to vote. You can't expect people in LA to be receptive to that shit.

So, in my opinion (and I might be wrong), they did one of two things.

1) They found conservative audience members exclusively for this show. Leno made jokes bashing Clinton and the crowd went absolutely crazy last night for it. Even he looked a little suprised.

2) They told the audience last night that they couldn't boo Ann and anyone who did would be forced to leave.

Leno was a real pussy with her, she can hold her own, but Leno didn't try to challenge her at all. She could have sat there and said that Hitler was her idol and the Holocaust was a good idea and Leno would have been, "Really. Now that's controversial, how did that come about, Ann?"

Why does she always wear that black dress?

Well, she's such a devout Christian that she has to dress like a hooker :o no wait----I mean----uh---did you see where the church she claims to attend says they never heard of her? She must be the same kind of "Christian" as George Bush :tape: My favourite part is she claims that you're not allowed to criticize the 9/11 widows, that liberals have put them off limit, but she's only been on 100 tv and radio shows doing so in the most slanderous and revolting terms. Someone, pull the plug on her :fiery:

It's actually how Ann talks that makes me so amused with her. It's why I am in no way intimidated or that angry with the CRAP she says.

And since no other woman like a Camille Paglia seems to have the boobs to go out there and challenger her, Annie baby is gonna go out there, do her thing, regardless what people think of her.

I have said it a thousand times on many posts folks........DON'T TAKE HER SERIOUSLY..........

She is a righ-wing bitch who could be a porn star and she knows it so let her have her day.
