Yep, though she's not as cute as Meredith. :hearts: Seems as nice and friendly though from what I've seen. Fave doubles team ever - Meredith & Patty Fendick:hearts:

Never thought I would find someone who loved Meredith and Patty. :bounce:

It was sad when Patty retired but I also liked Meredith playing with Larisa Neiland... :D

The only similarity I see is that they both wear/wore shades.

Indeed - too few people remember that far back on here...

Patty's my all-time fave. :bounce:

Having a late 80s - mid 90s nostalgia trip now: Medvedeva, Helgeson, Werdel, Whitlinger, Frankl...

Most on here weren't even born so that's understandable.

Werdel :hearts:

Hmmm....add Cueto, Wasserman, Kijimuta, Tanvier, Rajchrtova, and countless others, and I'll join you on that nostalgia trip.

Forgot Debbie Grahame & Laura Arraya/Gildemeister :hearts: .

Debbie had an awesome game, very powerful! Laura was a really crafty player too, but only watched her matches when she became Gildemeister.

GermanBoy, I was a big fan of Tanvier and Rajchrtova. Didn't care much for the others, but I saw their names in my old tennis book so just reeled a few names off for nostalgic purposes :p

Do you remember Meredith playing doubles with Jen Capriati on the junior circuit? :hearts:

I was the biggest JCap fan when she was first on the scene - I remember esp being on family holiday in spain in '92 and making the family go to some god-awful tourist bar so i could watch the olympic final.

If it wasn't for her wrecked knee, reckon Meredith could've won Wimbledon in '94, as it was pretty much finished her off.

Just googled MM and found this: http://www.campi.com/agents/meredith.shtml
She looks good still.

Sure do! They won a couple Slams didn't they? Meredith was about 18, and Jen was 13 from memory when they partnered up.

Wow, so she's in real estate now

Meredith reached the SF of Wimbledon in 96 right? Or was it 94?

danra

It was '96.

Meredith only 35 now according to profile - when i was 15-6 she seemed more than a few years older than me...weird.
