yeah...Hopefully..She was holding her serve games easily till she lost 2nd sevegame of 2nd set from 30 0 then there was no turning back forpit just cudnt hold serve in 3rd set..and went down 1 3but then like typical mirza match came up from ashes butonly not to go away this time..Well done...Give it all against perry..:yeah: take advantage of missing dani

Good win for Sania, but I have a feeling she will lose to Perry in R2.

She was a different player to last year - she seemed much more patient and happier to defend and know when to go for her shots, where as last year she was just smacking everything. Good serving and net play too!

Perry's game is perfectly suited for grass. :hearts:

But, if Sania's on, she has a very good chance to win.

Oh, I wanted Bondarenko to win this one, and I thought she had a decent shot at it. Oh well, Mirza needed the win.

Not much more to say - Sania seemed in a good mood and had lots of supporters. Bondarenko gave her a good work out as she didn't make many errors, but also lacks that 'big shot'. Sania's groudstrokes were much more solid and mature, she wasn't trying to hit Bondarenko off course - last year I don't think Sania had a rally that lasted more than 2 shots, but this time there were plenty of long rallies. She hit some good drop shots too and solid volleys.
