Yeah was awesome three great goals in last 8 mins Japan looked so tired and the Aussies were so good in midfield and defence really took advantage, were in and we won a match bring on Brasil and Croatia.

I thought Japan's goal was legal, more of a misjudgement by Schwarzer than an obstruction. Then again the Japanese strikers were :retard: in front of goal, so it was a fair result.

If it was fair, why did the ref apologise for it after the match? :o

Great result for the Australian team but they play real dirty football. When African countries used to play such tuggish football I used to be so embarrased by it, I find it strange that this kind of football is now being lauded.

Boo Yaaaa !!!!!

A Match Worth Watching Again And Again

Only the last 8 minutes though ;)

Okay now the euphora has died down from last night, its time for some constructive criticism.
Both teams were very average...definately not world class ...had Australia been facing someone like the Dutch they would have been on their ass the whole time, there simply isn't room for slacking and slow play. If they play like this against Brazil, I can almost guarantee something like a 5 nil victory for Brazil. Next game; Aloisi and Cahill need to start, they need to step up their speed and maintain intensity. Nonethless, they have a wonderful sense of team unity and spirit and the "never say die" attitude which really gives them an edge.

Lets go the Roos against Brazil!

Yeah, that first Japanese goal was rubbish... but I think was cancelled out by the ref missing a foul inside the box by Cahill not to long after he scored. So 3-1 I think is a fair result.

We're so going to win the WC now :p

The Japanese team was disasterous. Towards the last 10 or so minutes, they had conceded 3 goals, mostly because their defence was non-existent. WTF was that goal-keeper thinking when he travelled like 50 metres away from the goal? :retard:

If I was an investor in that team, I'd either demand a team reshuffle and a new coach, or get my money back altogether. It was a ridiculous performance and one that the Japanese team should be absolutely ashamed of. Too bad harakiri or seppuku isn't as popular nowadays :tape:

At least the Japanese fans were fairly civil, compared to Westerners. I'm amazed (well, O.K., I'm not) that many Australian fans are doing their darnest to make the Japanese look like sore losers. Just wait till they get to play other countries - they'll be getting actual boos from drunken fans, not imagined ones :tape:

Me too...

On the one hand, I agree the Socceroos deserved the victory 100% - they were given opportunities, and they made the most of it.

However, I think the entire Japanese team should be severely reprimanded or sacked . They played like amateurs and there's no way anyone will be able to excuse that miserable performance. I don't mind Zico, but his time as coach is up :tape:
