got this from my weather friend-Philip Eden

High pressure in one guise or another certainly looks like holding well into next week, though temperatures may drop back a bit after the mid to high 20s on Sunday and Monday. Fingers crossed that it lasts all week, but the long-range outlook for the second half of June is much more changeable.

High Pressure :bounce: ...... hope it turns out good

Wow, could this be the first year that I've had no rain over the qualifying weekend? Looks promising! It's been very hot at Surbiton $25k over the last 3 days, though a bit more of a breeze today.

However, Sunday is only a long day if they have delays on Saturday (like last year). So, on Sunday they could have finished the singles qualies by, say 14:30, and it seems that storms may not appear until late afternoon.

like last yr's Sat
when about 20 mins of rain all day meant hardly no play at all

Well, it's 7.12 am here where I live (42 miles away from B'ham) and we are having thunder storms, and heavy rain down pours. 5 day forecast still says Sunny where I live and the same in B'ham.

I think I'll still make the trip but today, I will take a brolly!

I was going to go again today to see the brits before they get knocked out, but after seeing the weather forecast on BBC Breakfast, I dunno if I'm going to bother. Helen says it'll be heavy showers and thunder until around 6pm, and the Met Office issued a severe weather warning for the west midlands  :fiery:

you might have missed out because the weather was fine until a quick shower. I did leave early though so I don't know what it was like after 4pm.

it was hot most of the day. there was a shower late morning, and a bit more rain later, but they were back on court by about 16:30.
I left about 17:50 and there were plenty of people on the practice courts..
