I used to do this on the AOL Boards, but since I...well, don't like posting there that much anymore, I've decided to bring them exclusively to wtaworld, which I like very, very much!
I start from the 3rd round, and go from there. I don't usually do scores, just who beats whom:
3rd round:
(1)Capriati d. Widjaja
(20)Schnyder d. (14)Tulyaganova
(12)Shaughnessy d. (19)Myskina
(7)Dokic d. Zuluaga
(3)S. Williams d. (26)Sugiyama
(21)Smashnova d. (15)Sanchez-Vicario
(9)Farina Elia d. Chladkova
(5)Henin d. Pierce
(8)Testud d. (27)Dechy
(10)Mauresmo d. Foretz
(22)Maleeva d. Svensson
(4)Clijsters d. (25)Bedanova
(6)Seles d. (29)Majoli
(18)Panova d. (11)Hantuchova
Rubin d. (23)Kremer
(2)V. Williams d. (31)Grande
Widjaja beats Stevenson in round 2, Zuluaga upsets Coetzer in round 2, Chladkova knocks out Tanasugarn in the first round
4th Round:
(1)Capriati d. (20)Schnyder
(7)Dokic d. (12) Shaughnessy
(3)S. Williams d. (21)Smashnova
(5)Henin d. (9)Farina Elia
(10)Mauresmo d. (8)Testud
(4)Clijsters d. (22)Maleeva
(6)Seles d. (18)Panova
(2)V. Williams d. Rubin
Quarterfinals:
(1)Capriati d. (7)Dokic
(3)S. Williams d. (5)Henin
(4)Clijsters d. (10)Mauresmo
(2)V. Williams d. (6)Seles
Serena wins over Justine, I think Serena is still the better big-match player.
Semifinals:
(3)S. Williams d. (1)Capriati
(4)Clijsters d. (2)V. Williams
Both could go either way, but I think Serena has the mental and physical edge over Jen right now. As for the other semi, Venus has looked kinda shaky on clay all year, and Kim is getting better.
Final:
(3)S. Williams d. (4)Clijsters, 6-4, 7-6
Serena probably will want it more, but Kim won't go down without a fight.
