I'm not a huge fan of Dokic, but she has done great things at Wimbledon. A MD WC is out of the question, but she still has the game to be able to rip up in the qualies. What do you guys think?

I think she can get one but unlikely that she will if she shows lacklustre from in the ITF's in Italy and Croatia. True she is a former QF SF and 4th round contender and the Birts do like Jelena so I guess its up to her to ask, she got one last year but only for qualies but turned it down so they may skip over her name. Alicia Molik as well could be in the mix as well so it will be definatley interesting

I'd find it hard to believe she'd score even a qualies wc. Look at her last loss....she's not ready.
Seriously, it won't kill the girl to go out & work for it. A wc can't be expected when she's only playing a handful of tournies a year & only scoring a couple of wins.
I'm sure she'll receive handouts to the Aussie tournies for 1 perhaps 1 more year (provided she's still playing for Aus). I can't see too much happening as far as handouts overseas goes though until she starts to earn them....

...what wins? I can't recall a single win from this year? In fact her last official win was in Martina Franca (Italy) 2005/8/2.
People are coming to see tennis in Wimbledon and not the stuff she's showing right now. Even from hard core fan point of view I don't see any fun seeing her going out heavily beaten in first round. Indeed she should stay away from Grand Salms.
Of course if she wins both tournies before Wimbledon then I will take my words back...

Even if she wins both tournaments before Wimbledon, I still think the organizers would be hesistant if she asked for one. This past one year she hasn't shown anything and winning two ITFs before a GS isn't really enough of a justification in my opinion.

Of course she should! Jelena has always had a special affinity with Wimbledon (except 2004, when she wasn't in the right head-space).
And the organisers would be crazy not to give her a WC... for the main draw. She got one for the Australian Open and almost won, and grass is her best surface.
