Notice, that's the THIRD round, QF's and SF's, as if NONE of the seeds lost

I can't wait for the quarters onward....This French Open is the most wide open slam in years.

Interesting pick with Carlsson...she's made the R of 16 before so she shouldn't be afraid to do it, and with Dementieva's form it could happen.

Wow, Monica has a tough draw!! Majoli, Hantuchova and then to top it off, Venus!!!

There are a couple potential upsets looming.

Panova def Hantuchova

Myskina def Shaughnessy ( I don't think Shaughnesy will get this far, truthfully)

Anne Kremer could easily beat Babsi, and I sure hope she does.

Smashnova will beat ASV as well.

Clijsters COULD lose if she has to play Mauresmo. But only if its on Court 16. And it won't be.

What a tough draw for Monica. Damn. I was hoping she might get a slightly easier path to the quarters for a change.

Go Monica !!!

Stevenson: Craybas
Schnyder: Garbin, Talaja
Tulyaganova: Dyrberg
Coetzer: Muller
Sugiyama: Husarova
Smashnova: Schiavone
Farina-Elia: Pisnik, Bovina
Tanasugarn: Chladkova
Torrens-Valero: Pierce
Testud: Suarez
Dementieva: Svensson
Bedanova: Kostanic
Majoli: Cervanova
Hantuchova: Black
Schett: Rubin

these seem to be the seeds with the most difficult time getting through to the third round, mentioned beside are the players who I think have the potential to cause the upset. Mind you, most of them I don't actually think will happen, but they could be some good matches.

I really expect Chanda to defeat Schett!
She seems to be playing so well, while Schett

Well it should be interesting ;)

I really don't think Monica will have many problems with Iva and Daniela, but I'm rooting for them anyway (not cause its against Monica). The way she's playing, and the way Daniela is playing I would be really surprised if Daniela could cause the upset.

UNless she is injured I dont see Jelena getting upset.

She'll want to make up for last years early round loss, and she has won two titles on clay in the past 13 months or so - could be three if she wins tomorrow.

She may play every second of everyday ;) But she is no schmuck on clay.

i agree ... she has alot of confidense from this week and i don't see her losing to conchits or coetzer. Jeca has defeated Conchi in all times they have played in straight sets. and although being down 2-4 in head to head against Mandy, Jelena is playing well and well coetzer isnt.
