I'm really worried for Kim.
She's been playing pretty bad lately and now she says she's injured.
Razzano often plays well at the FO and I think she'll be very motivated, confident and consistent too.
I can see Kim tank like she sometimes does :scared:
Losing 1st round would be a disaster!
Maybe I'm too pessimist, I don't know...
...please win it, Kimmie!

well Kim hasn't lost in R1 in her last 19 grand slams... so, no.

Razzano is not a very good player.

Kim plays her best when she's "injured".

She'll win.

last year Razzano (defeating Saina and playing well against Davenport) was really good

but 2006 has been pathetic for Virginie so far :tape:

Clijsters in two easy sets

well it all depends on how bad Kmmie does
Virginie is just a bystander on such occasions and she's been outta-form lately

Razzano always has one great tourney a year and this could be it. Shes not a bad player, and on her day can play very well. I think it is very possible that Razzano could beat Kim.

Well, Razzano beat Dokic this year, so YES, she can beat Clijsters.

....come on, I can dream, can I?

Exactly...I love Kim but it is a possibility...Razzano does have her on days and she is playing in Paris...this could easily go to 3 and if Kim deoesn't want to dig it out  ...but I still think Kim will come through, it's the 1st rd for god's sake!

Razzano has a pretty tight game!!! If Kim is ummm, "lightly injured" this may be a tough first round for her.

For the umpteenth time, Kim hasn't said she is injured, some reporter did. As to Kim winning or losing this match, I'm less sure of Kim than I used to be and Razzano is allegedly a good clay courter. Even so, surely Kim can't crash out in the first round?

BEEILOVEYA

Ummm yeah, she could win it.

i think you are really too pessimistic. kim won warsaw :) and just after that she played not consistent enough in rome.i wouldn´t say that kim played without exception just badly ;) .
and to the injury thing: kim didn´t say that she´s injured. the media began to talk about it.

Razzano can win. We all saw what she did to Lindsay last year. Will she win? I don't thikn so! Kim has too much pride to bow out 1st Round :o

Well Kim has to lose to someone so why not to Razzano?

Wannabeknowitall
May 28th, 2006, 12:19 PM
We saw what Razzano did to Lindsay last year but that was Lindsay. Razzano and Lindsay are probably equal in the movement department. Kim is leaps and bounds a better mover than Razzano who rarely moves side-to-side-to side well. Razzano doesn't have the power game or the spins to make Kim sweat out there. Razzano is the poor man's version of Dechy. She will be crushed with everyone else in Kim's quarters of the draw.
