So true, this is what Anna should have done, but Anna was a better player than Vaidisova. From what I hear she is only 16 so she has a long way to go. I don't see her winning any Grandslams in the near future thought. Maybe when she's 19 or 20.

Doesn't matter, still an amazing European clay court season for Peng. Tremendous effort in reaching the final. :D

Good luck at Roland Garros, Pengy.

I read that Peng had a SP's at 7-6 on the tie-break because Vaidisova threw her racquet and it nearly hit a linesman :tape: so Nicole got a penality point :tape:

Ivanovic? She was born in 1988, a year before Vaidisova.

Watching her last week against Hingis, you could see she was getting better and better;)
I know and to be honest from all matches Hingis played last week, i liked the Vaidisova more, Hingis was forced to produce great tennis there, they were hitting the ball pretty hard and running a lot.
I had never seen a whole match of Vaidisova and i like her a lot. I expected her to win this title :). Bad luck to have drawn Martina so early in Rome

I know I mean she should really play bigger tournies and gain more experience by playing the top players more often even if it means more losses. I think in general one learns more from a loss than an easy or a comfortable win. Ivanovic may be ranked lower and has fewer titles but she rarely plays tier 3's. Anyway I like Nicoles first serve and her agressive approach in playing the game.

Solid win.

Nicole is playing bigger events. This is only her second Tier III of the year. I think she's just working her way up to a full blown big tourny schedule. And this time there wasn't a bigger event to play instead of it. She probably wanted to play a tournament the week before Roland Garros. More power to her, it surely gave her some much needed match play on clay. Nice tournament Nicole :yeah:

Awesome tournament Shuai :bigclap:. Beating 4 straight quality opponents is such a good sign. Great to see her game coming together again. Good luck @ Roland Garros Shuai!
