Justine is a witch much too powerful to be affected by this "Weirtheim Curse".

I think he's got the semi-finals pegged correctly, except for one player on the top half of the draw. The semi's will probably feature Martina vs, Justine and Amelie vs Svetlana.

But he could be wrong on the bottom half, too. Petrova could oust Justine, especially if the Belgian is not in the top physical shape she'll need to play out a tough three setter.

If Venus makes it that far, she's going to win, it doesn't matter who is across the net. Especially with Richard around.

The question is whether she'll make it that far.

Actually I take that back. Henin could beat her, maybe Hingis, but thats about it.

I'm pretty sure he picked her to win last year which of course she did. I'm also pretty sure he picked Clijsters to win the US Open. So I would hardly call this a kiss of death.

I know! He always does this. Like last year when he picked Justine for the French, and when he picked Serena for the Australian, and when he picked Clijsters for the US. Face it, he's not perfect, but he's one of the finest judges of tournament form and potential in journalism today. He's incredibly accurate at picking winners, and last year, when nothing went normal, to go 3/4, I'm impressed. I was only 1/4.

15. Daniela Hantuchova: Slowly getting back to where she once belonged but, especially on clay, she's not an elite player. Wouldn't be surprised if she lost her first match.

I guess he is following a different tour...

Yeah, but just because he can pick the winner doesn't mean he's accurate at picking all 4 semifinalists.
Anyway I suppose since Queen Vee is the only decent American with a chance to do much, then I should root for her, but I don't expect much.

He's always had a thing for Venus.

Yet, after Wimbledon last year when she made
them all eat a heaping help of Shiiit and
then they jumped on her bandwagon, they'll
always keep an eye out for her.

Venus seems to catch them off guard time and
time again. Not to mention how quickly to form
she is returning which caught him by surprise again.

IMO, the difference now aside from health is that
her desire & hunger has kicked back into high gear again.

but Kim and JHH were pretty obvios picks, JHH won 4 clay tournaments before RG and Kim was coolest hardcourt player at the moment, so
