I stayed awake until her game finished after 2am here in Australia watching last night. I felt like crying I was so happy to see her win! This is awesome.

Tough match but she made it through. Alicia looked rusty but her core game is still there. There were a lot of silly UE's but it's only a matter of time before she cleans all that up.

She's playing this random from Romania in the next round today. There isn't a pic or anything of her on wtatour.com and she doesn't have much to show, so lish has a good chance.

BUT if she wins, she'll play maria sharapova (if maria wins). But maria didn't look to good in the first round, having to save 3 match points on someone ranked 97.

Oh how I would love for Alicia and Maria to play with Alicia kicking her ass of course. :devil:
