Might this upset of ASV today, be the start of her long road back to the top? What was her career high ranking - 4 or 5?

Wow...I hadn't heard that she'd won. Congratulations to Chanda.

Chanda looks fit and ready to compete again! :)
Unfortunately, she was never the same after that nasty injury in 1996.... I think her career high rank was #6. However, today was a very good win for her and I hope she fares well at Roland Garros! I always thought her game was beautiful to watch. :D

I think her career high ranking was 6... perharps it was 4, but I don't think so.

Yeah, it is really great that she is coming back the way she is... I wish her the best of luck at Roland Garros... :)

geaux chanda!

It's not as if she was ever hard to look at ;)

I just hope she takes it easy for a few months. Last thing she needs is to overscedule that knee of hers.

You beat me to it mishar - i was just about to post that!!!

Congrats to Chanda! I hope she can get back to her best, and get back to top 25 atleast, top 15 would be brilliant! :)

Frankly, I don't think she should have a problem getting back to the top 15 if she's able to stay healthy. Top 10 might be a stretch.

All players should follow Chandas example and make sure they are really fit to compete before making their comeback! Go Chanda!

I think it is great and all that she is in shape. I wish her all the best. But honestly, her best time has definetely past. Even if she does make a remarkable comeback, she just does not have the natural talent like Venus, Serena or Jenn to be a serious contender to the slams. The 96 Australian Open was definetely a fluke.

Good Luck against Fabiola Zuluaga on Friday!
Anyone done any calculations on where she will be after this week in the rankings?

I think if she wins tomorrow but loses Saturday she'll be around 43rd.
If she wins the whole thing, obviously higher.

She has nothing to defend at RG and Wimbledon. Semifinals at Eastbourne, quarterfinals at Stanford, the only big points coming up.

Hey y'all,

Chanda's ranking will be No. 45 come Monday.
Congratulations to her for a great week! I think she has an excellent chance to follow this up with a good Roland Garros showing, say the 4th round.

Go Chanda! :) :) :)
