Hehehe. Not the World Cup type, but "goals" that we
think LD should seek in her return to the tour. I don't
know how you guys feel?;but I want her to win another
grand slam. Yep, that's the first thing LD should strive
for. I don't care how the draws shake out and she
ends up playing Martina Hingis , Monica Seles or Kim C
in the QF, SF and Final. I don't even care if it doesn't
seem legit to her cranky critics because the Sisters or Jen
DNF lost in fluke early round losses to Barbara Schwartz
and Natalie Dechy. A win is a win is a WIN!!

The number 1 ranking? It's only really worth something
if your ranked number 1 during the end of the WTA
Championships. How soon we forget? But, wasn't LD
sort of ranked number 1 for the year ending 2001??

First stop ENGLAND. We discussed Eastbourne a bit.
What should we expect from LD at WIMBLEDON. If
she can take down Jen or the Sisters in a 4th round or
even a QF encounter that would make the tournament
successful. I think we're looking of quality of opponent
for LD's return matches back on tour. You know, I never
really bought the hype whenever Sampras, Guga or
Safin beats the crap out of some player ranked 120
in a first round match. BIG DEAL!! It's the quality of
opponent. I digress here a bit;but that Kournikova has
started to hit bottom hasn't she? She's losing to
Petra Mandular for pete's (no pun intended) sake!!

The tour hasn't really changed that much since LD last
played her match last winter. I don't think the Belgians
could beat LD on a good day in a fast surface like
Carpet or hardcourt despite doing really well on tour.

I would like Lindsay to win another slam, hopefully the French at some point (obviously not this year) as its the one missing from her collection. To win Wimbledon again would be great for her and also her home US Open slam. As for winning titles this year I am not sure how she will fare. If she comes back as she did last year it would be great, but after surgery and a longer time off we can hardly expect that of her. I don't think she will win Eastbourne with it being her first tournament back (we hope). Quarter finals might be as far as he gets or semis. I would love her to go further but being realistic I don't think think she will. I hope I have to eat my words! With a reasonable draw at Wimbleon and having played singles and doubles at Eastbourne she might do quite well, but again I think its expecting a lot of her go to and win it. What a sell if she did though.

Gosh I do miss her. Hurry back Linds (fit and well)

I'm with Jan. I just want her to go slow, rebuild her strength and get the feel of the court again, and above all don't reinjure herself! I'd be happy if she played a few good matches and got to the quarters again for Eastbourne, then semis for Wimby. (Although it's hard not to want her to go ALL THE WAY!) It would be great if she could just get her game going for the USOPEN... then win there again!

of course it would be soooooo heavenly if she surprised us all and came out and won one of 'em!
