I'm sick of Zheng beating Na and winning these titles, she's no where as talented as Na and she always has results that looks the opposite...drives me crazy poor Na...

She's talented but I believe Na is on a different level of talent and her not being able to prove it irritates me!

its a shame for na li, however, they train together every day, and are close friends. If there was two retirements in two Williams sisters finals, a thread like like would have a lot less concern and a lot more hate

The WTA says she retired with heat illness which is a good sign because that's quite easy to recover from! If this is true she should be in Berlin!

Hope it's nothing serious... well, WTA says "heat illness" and Estoril website "cramps", so it's not as bad as I thought...

Anywey it's so sad  . Hope Na will be ready for Berlin. Na, don't lose the confidence. Keep fighting, you're so impressive... :D :worship: :bounce:

Jie, congrats :yeah:

I want to see messages about why players shouldn't retire in finals. They are strangely missing from this thread. Could it be posters have actually gotten more mature? Ah, I doubt it. ;)

Except for Shuai Peng, I think Na Li is the most talented CHinese.

Why should a player not retire in a final?
If you have to retire you have to retire.
If you get knocked out you get knocked out.
It has nothing to do whether its a final or not.
