entry list was due to come out last week (May 2nd) but it was held back to next tues (9th) cos the Modena tournament was cancelled, so players who were gonna play there could play birmingham if they wanted.

The only thing that stops me getting a cheap flight over to this event is that the weather is usually atrocious. Might check out the BBC weather the week before and come over for a few matches - they normally get a decent line up.

Modena cancelled so that WTA has given extra week to sort out commitment lists and stuff like that, do you guys think the tournament will go up a tier as well as extra players isnt it like 48 draw or soemthing they should do 64 and move up tier

she prefers to practise in florida - where its garunteed weather to play in, which isnt the case in birmingham or eastbourne. Also, it would mean staying away from home from now, straight throiugh until july, having no break between RG and Wimbledon
