Koukalova on the match: "I expected a tough one. My opponent played quick and accurate tennis, she made virtually no errors, especially in the key points. Does she stand a chance against Dementieva? It she plays like yesterday and today, she is gonna be a threat to Elena."
Radwanska: "I still don't believe in this victory. Maybe this evening I will. If I were Dementieva, I'd be surprised to see who I'd be playing in the QF"

nice comments from both, i simply love Aga for her sober approach to what's going on around her ;-)

Dementieva: – "I've never seen Agnieszka play before, so I'm going to go and see her play shortly. I will not ask Anastasia why she lost, because if it happened, it means she (Aga) played very well. It is always difficult to play against someone who the whole crowd is rooting for. I have to prepare for a very tough match tomorrow."

Aga: "Has anything changed after this match? Not yet, although I might have to cancel my flight to Prague on Friday. I intended to play the Prague Open, but I don't know if I will manage to get there on time. (...) I didn't count yet how many places I'd climb up the rankings, but I did ask other players in the lockerroom how many points I gained so far"

Marta Domachowska has suddenly lost the place she has held for the past 3 years as Poland's tennis queen. She has always been sort of a lacklustre figure imo and it'll be good for Poland to have a new star.

I like Aga's attitude :) Klara seemed a gracious loser also :)
