By the way, Steve, I was wondering what Rough Trade meant, and apart from being a band/record label, according to wikipedia it also means:

a slang term for a masculine working class man who has sex with men (sometimes as a male prostitute)

:spit:

I know

Thats what I thought it meant :p
I noticed Fifth Avocado kept trying to get risque names, so I thought I would try too.
And it worked :sobbing:

i cant believe they actually changed it :( I hate it!

Its what I keep saying Im gonna have to do if I cant get a job soon :rolls:

She should keep playing lower tires when she can, she should be seeded for Indian Wells and Miami if a couple of people withdraw. But she still needs a good result somewhere to break top 30 :)

I swear this is the first time I see this pic  :hearts: It's very cute.

Anyway, to be come a Minnie Mouse QUEEN, you actually have to WIN those MM tournaments.

I wish Shuai could become a MM Queen. Right now, if she were to play those lower tiers, she would be a MM maid :tape: not a MM Queen

Anyway, Jie has some potential to become a MM queen if she wanted to, because

A) She tends to beat lower ranked players
B) She actually has title-winning experiences.

I meant that Shuai can almost beat the top players, like Kuzi in Sydney, but has equal scorelines against the likes of Niculescu, Groth etc

Jie should become MM Queen :hearts:

Basically, you sign up as a (female) celebrity and there are 5 stats.

Serve, return, attack, defense, stamina.

You start with 100 pts in each, and get to allocate 10 pts to those categories :p

From then on, in order to get more stat pts to allocate to your player and thus make her stronger, you can do the quests/events :)

In theory, you could sign up , allocate your pts, and never come back and your player would still be playing and active. Just not very strong :scared: :p

How are you?

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 05:28 PM
Good, you? :wavey:

Today we had a debate in class which was a bit unpleasant :tape:

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 05:36 PM
Im ok.

What was the debate about?

I voted :p

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 05:40 PM
:hearts:

In poli sci, we read this treatise about the death penalty, and even though the original intent of the exercise was to look at the rhetorical devices used, it quickly became a group bitching session on how evil the death penalty was.

I spoke in favor of the death penalty and I am now the official persona non grata of the class :hearts:

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 05:50 PM
:D

Im for the death penalty too!

i was worried for a moment you were gonna say you were against it :ras:

I believe in an eye for an eye, as long as there is no doubt.

Well done for not complying with everyone else :yeah:

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 05:54 PM
 :worship:

I respect people who oppose it adamantly, but when I first said I supported it, I heard a few snorts in the class  Whatever :weirdo:

Even though the teacher was very much against the death penalty, he was respectful and objective, but I've had teachers who would show in not-so-subtly condescending manner what they thought of your view :fiery:

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 05:55 PM
I know Europeans tend to be very very opposed to the death penalty so I am glad we have this common ground here.

(Canadians too, btw :ras: )

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 06:04 PM
Yeah, I always respects others opinions. I really hate it when people change their opinion to suit others

I dont know why so many people are against it personally
Maybe because they believe in God and forgiveness :ras:

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 06:07 PM
That's the strange thing though.

In theory, it's "liberals" who are against the death penalty and those who support it are "conservatives".

Yet if liberals oppose it for strictly moral/religious reasons, then doesn't that make them conservatives?

I don't know if I am making sense here :scared:

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 06:21 PM
You are making sense, I know what you are saying

Im definately not conservative

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 06:22 PM
Im not sure really who the type of person is that is for or against the death penalty

I suppose, since I am so open minded about everything else it is maybe strange that I am for it.

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 06:25 PM
Yeah, I just find it strange that it's commonly accepted that it's "progressive and liberal" to oppose the death penalty and "conservative" to support it.

Like how does death penalty = lack of progress?

Whatever :ras:

Let's talk about something more cheerful :p

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 06:36 PM
Yeah ok :p

The death penalty is never comin back anyway :ras:

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 06:38 PM
True. :ras:

I have to go to class, I'll be back in 2 hours. (9:45PM board time) :wavey:

Anyway, go to chat threads and check out the Chinese chat thread, vol 2. or whatever, the one on page 2. (not the one on page 1)

I made a photochop involving Shuai with paint :hearts:

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 08:52 PM
:wavey:

I cant find the photothing :sobbing:

How was class?

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 08:58 PM
What happened?
What class was it?

Oh cool, I see it now :hearts:
What is it though? :p

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 09:04 PM
Mariahdg kept making Sailor Moon references, so I chopped the Chinese player's faces into the Sailors' pics :tape:

It was history, and it was hilarious, in a morbid kind of way.

Wanna know? :p

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 09:07 PM
Yeah i wanna know, I like morbid things

Whats Sailor Moon? Im sorry I dont know :tape:

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 09:10 PM
Basically, we talked about Paris and how it was besieged by the Prussians in 1870. So there was really a blockade, and soon food became a problem.

So what do you think they did?

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 09:15 PM
I think they turned cannibal!

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 09:16 PM
OK, I looked up Sailor Moon. Its these girls with magic powers named after planets?

And Shuai is Sailor Moon in that pic?

HAOCHEN-GOAT
Mar 5th, 2009, 09:17 PM
:haha: Tuo at your masterpiece :spit: :rolls: :worship:

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 09:18 PM
Actually, no.

They started off with the plump rats that were all over Paris :scared:

Then they moved to the canines and felines :scared:

And then they killed all the birds :help:

And finally...

They emptied the zoo! :rolls: :spit: :help: :o

Basically, everything in the zoo except for the monkeys and lions were auctioned off. Yes, everything else. Including two gorgeous thoroughbreds given to France by the Tsar of Russia, two elephants given by Thailand or something, everything became sausage :tape: :spit:

My masterpiece. :hearts:

Actually, Shuai is Sailor Venus in that pic. (I did not want Sailor Moon because she is a dumb bitch.)

Her attribute is love/beauty and she a somewhat of an airhead, but a caring one :p

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 09:28 PM
:rolls:

So no cannibalism? The French are so reserved :p

If it was Russia they would have eaten the people. Was the whole thing over before the animals ran out?

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 09:29 PM
I cant open that link. What is the next one?

Is Sailor Venus different from Sailor Moon?

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 09:38 PM
Oh right, I see it now. So ur gonna do Shrek? :)

So basically all the characters in Sailor Moon are ditzy then?

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 09:39 PM
Not really :p

Sailor Mercury is the nerdy one, and she is shy, studious and sweet :hearts:

Yup, I am gonna do the Shrek one

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 09:48 PM
Is it a tv programme?

You should do a Shrek one. Have you ever thought of taking part in the Graphic Makers Thread?

Im in a heavy slump right now, but I did ok last year.

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 10:00 PM
lol. I use paint, that's why I can't even get rid of the white stuffs around the players' faces. I suck.

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 10:13 PM
Hmm, that's interesting Steve.

I am pretty sure I looked it up once, and you can have a free one-month trial and that's it

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 10:20 PM
You should try the one-month trial at least :)

Or try and get a knock off one :p

Ellery
Mar 5th, 2009, 10:21 PM
But I would get addicted to it, and then when the trial expires I would be devastated :bigcry:

You don't want that on your conscience do you? :ras: You already have Shuai's unhappiness to think of :ras:

$uricate
Mar 5th, 2009, 10:30 PM

Ellery

If I had to define Na in two words, I would probably pick, "Unforced errors". :ras:

honestly, hard to expect/predict if na'll win the next match or not. sometimes she plays like a top 10 player, sometimes she plays like a Queen of UE.

Ellery
Mar 9th, 2009, 12:59 AM
You have to keep both in mind :ras:

The glass is always half-empty or half-full with Na, there is no, glass is 2/3 full or something
