This Habibi - Iak motoru feat. Malkite Kristalcheta thing definitely is not bulgarian music ;) It`s some kind of turkish or gipsy BS that my mind cant accept
In fact in this page there is 5 DVD`s and no one of them is with BG music ;)

You make a thread called "Bulgarian Music" without Bulgarian music,I explain it to you and after that you make some "funny" comments maybe coz you know better than me what is Bulgarian music  I dont know what to expect...You know more than us about our history, about our music.Maybe I`ll learn from you that my mather and my father arent my real family?

I am in the process of buying a house in Bulgaria so I am interested. The history debate was just for fun, do not take it personally. Isn`t the video with the guy in front of the airplane Bulgarian music according to you? All you said about that was that only old people listen to him.. I was more interested in the dancers. Please do not tell me they are gypsies... There has to be some Bulgarian music on that site, it says "the biggest shop for Bulgarian music." Link me to some if you like, others that come to the board may be interested also. How about this? I don`t care what she is...

I like it a lot also, and the singer is beautiful. The music has a life to it that reminds me of Spanish music. :D

I can't hear the music on the links posted (stupid Windows standards :fiery: )

But when I am nostalgic, I like to listen to some folk music and I go here: www.gaida.com

Otherwise I listen a lot of Bulgarian online radio stations from here: http://predavatel.com/en_index.htm

* btw Habibi is an Arabic word (a language I would like to learn one day ;) )

I can listen to a few of the radio stations. Bulgarian National Radio is playing classic English language rock, Horizen, like seniors music in English. Maybe they will play some Bulgarian pop music later. That is what I`d like to hear.

You're welcome. Although this site doesn't have too much of my fave songs, it's better than nothing. I am now listening to it and I am crying like crazy, it's just too strong.

About the radio-stations. A lot of them mix between Western music and Bulgarian. There's Vesselina.. caugh.. I don't like AT ALL the music they put on but I know a lot of foreigners like it. So try it. But you have to know, the quality of the radio transimission online is quite poor, I suspect they don't have enough bandwith.

I am going out a bit cause the emotion is too much for me to be able to write more.

The music causes the emotion? Guess I am lucky I cannot understand the words. I knew Bulgaria would have very interesting music and culture. :D

I am very sensible to this kind of music. Not every one is like that. But when you add to an existing sensibility the nostalgia, you get tons of tears and a sense of feeling stupid for crying out so much ;)

I have easy going emotions ;) I guess it's more interesting like that :D Btw, Habibi.. I have to install some programs to get the possibility to listen to it. Did you ever hear about Rai? It's Arrabic music with modern "arrangement". Couple of songs are great.

The first video I posted is really funny, sounds Turkish with the belly dancing moves. I love that stuff. Maybe I should buy a house in Turkey but their system of chopping off heads with a curved sword scares me... I will look into Rai.

That'd be called to get in touch with their culture :haha:

Anyways, I don't think they still use the "iatagan" for this :p ;)

I`ve listened to a lot of it. It has it`s own flavor and I can tell the Slavic language. But you can pick up influences in a lot of it, jazz, blues, techno, rap, etc. It is a small world we live in... ;)
