First time I saw Romana play, she played very well yesterdey.
Compare with Angie, Romana played much better with her super defense. Peng didn't play bad yesterday, she made big shot in many time but Romana can return very well. Li Na looked has clean shot more than Peng because of omany Angie's return are weak,Li Na had trouble when Angie changed the game in slow with moonbal play.

Just curious about chinese Indoensian there.

I did even know that there were still so many chinese in Indonesia since the slaughter against these Chinese in 1998 (or 1999).
BTW, I heard that Widjaja is Chinese but this name doesn't sound like those Chinese family names I've known.

I read the news on fedcup site and I think the reason is the audience made so much noise there

Na and Peng did great jobs there because they playing against 1000 jerks there

Shame of Indonesian! :o

AS CHAIRMAN OF ANGIE FANS CLUB WITH OVER 80 FRIENDS - I MANAGED TO BE RESPONSIBLE IN CHEERING OUR TEAM...YES, THERE WERE OTHER GROUPS OF LOCAL FANS IN THE STADIUM...BELOW I COPIED FROM FED CUP WEBSITE ABOUT AFC:

In the second set Peng managed to break for a 2-1 lead but gave the advantage back straight away. THIS IS AFC - along with chants of "we will rock you" was certainly making things deafening. WE DID THIS ONE ONLY FEW TIMES TO FIRE UP THE SPIRIT...
The Chinese captain Jiang Hong-Wei was frequently protesting to umpire Payal Jain who just as frequently asked the crowd to stop calling out during points.

WE DID YELL ONLY BETWEEN GAME WHEN THE PLAYERS ARE SITTING...YES, I HAD TO ADMIT THERE WERE NOISES SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE MATCH BUT DEFINITELY I COULD GUARANTEE NOT FROM AFC, COZ AFC SAT TOGETHER IN CENTRAL PART OF THE TRIBUNE...AFC MEMBERS ARE TENNIS MANIACS AND WELL EDUCATED DESPITE OUR DIFFERENT ETHNICS, RELIGIONS AND SOCIAL BACKGROUNDS...AFC ALWAYS SUPPORTS INDONESIAN AND WORLD TENNIS IN MANY WAYS...I MYSELF HAVE BEEN WRITING ABOUT TENNIS IN THE LARGEST INDONESIAN NEWSPAPER AND OTHER PUBLICATION...IT IS JUST NATURAL FOR HOMECROWD TO CHEER THEIR NATIONAL TEAM...MOST OF US AMONG THE 1,000 ARE NOT JERKS AS U HAVE MENTIONED...SURE, THERE WERE NUMBER OF JERKS IN THE STADIUM I ACKNOWLEDGED - THEY WERE SOME PEOPLE GOT EMOTIONAL SEEING OUR PLAYERS' EASY STROKE SUCH AS TOO HIGH BALL AND SURE, THERE WERE A FEW NUMBER OF LOCAL FANS WHO DID NOT PUT THEIR CELLPHONE IN SILENT MODE...IMO, THESE PEOPLE WERE IGNORANT...

ANOTHER QUOTE FROM FED WEBSITE:

ABOUT US - ANGIE FANS CLUB - The cheer squads were like theatre productions. One guy would conduct his group like John Williams conducting an orchestra and would then sit down and start shouting support in Indonesian, French and Spanish.

WE CHEERED ON OUR TEAM IN RESPONSIBLE MANNER. YES, I CREATED ALL THE YELLS...IN ENGLISH FYI...

SO, PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE BY STEREOTYPING THAT ALL THE 1,000 ARE JERKS...MAYBE U SHOULD CHECK INTO URSELF...IN AFC, THERE ARE CHINESE, TOO...BUT WE ARE ALL UNITED DESPITE OUR DIFFERENCES...WE ARE A MINI INDONESIA BEING UNITED BECAUSE OF TENNIS...WE ARE TENNIS DIE HARDS...

I WANT TO SAY THAT I WAS NOT IMPRESSED WITH LI NA'S ATTITUDE...SHE WAS VERY EMOTIONAL (NOT AS MUCH AS PETROVA THOUGH) AND KEPT PROTESTING...SHAME ON HER...I PREFER TO PENG, YAN AND ZHENG WHO ARE SWEET...I KNEW THAT LI NA WAS UNDER PRESSURE BEING THE FIRST SINGLES' PLAYER...I AM SURE, SHE IS A NICE LADY IN FACT...

THAT'S ALL I WANT TO CONVEY AND THANKS...

It's shameful of the audience in Indonesia. They made so much noise, just wanting to disturb the Chinese players. How rude!

Actually they don't understand tennis at all.
Each sporting match should be carried out fairly. This is the spirit of sports.

Understand???
:(

To understand Indonesia, you must know us AFC - Angie Fans Club...Don't make generalization that we are all do not understand tennis...AFC members and most of the spectators gave applause when the Chinese showed great strokes...We are objective people...

I see the tie live from television, (because I'am not in jakarta!)I think there is no something that disturb player. they rock the Gelora Bung Karno if the player is sitting or take a rest. everyone know about that if they see live!!! :o
they also give great clip hands when pheng shuai or na li make great stroke and other powerfull smash.
in the other hand there are much protestes from china team, eventough the ball is out 20-30 cm from the line, and its absolutely out if you see from TV Camera. :o anyway that was Great Tie ;) Good Luck China :worship:
