Welcome to Charleston, South Carolina, USA! Last week, in Amelia Island, we saw a weakened field after many cancellations. Here, The Family Circle Cup is also suffering from the absence of Venus and Serena Williams, but many promising players are present in the draw. With Benesova, Safina, Peschke, Sprem, Zvonareva, Grönefeld, Arvidsson, Kuznetsova, Vaidisova, Harkleroad and Petrova, there are many contenders for the title. Will the winner come from this select group, or will someone else take the trophy home? Vote now as the Family Circle Cup draws to an end!

Anna-Lena Grönefeld is on a roll this season. By defeating the stunning Maria Elena Camerin earlier today, the German world number seven has reached her third championship match of the 2006 season. Her two previous finals were mixed successes: whereas the blonde German lost in straight sets to Marta Domachowska at Memphis, she evened her ratio by seeing off ... Iveta Benesova at Acapulco. With Charleston, the German could win her first Tier I, after having won three Tier III's.

Czech fan favourite Iveta Benesova has landed herself in her fourth final this season. However, the #19 on the PYW rankings remains titleless. Gold Coast (l. to Hingis), Hobart (l. to Krajicek) and Acapulco (l. to Grönefeld) left her with the consolation price of being RUP. Can Iveta join compatriots as Kveta Peschke, Klara Koukalova and Nicole Vaidisova as a PYW Tournament Champion.
Fact is: Anna-Lena Grönefeld definitely has the statistics in her advantage. The German even celebrated her previous title against the crafty Czech and has three times as many titles as Benesova. So will the logica be respected or will Iveta finally shake the monkey of her back and take her first PYW title. Vote and we'll find out!
Final:
