Good match from Lindsay EXCEPT a patch in the first set when she went from set point at 5-1, to 5-4
Another disappointment - 5/14 bp converted :tape: and 1st serve % of 50%
A win nevertheless - good luck against Marti Lindsay! :yeah:

Oh, it wouldn't be a Lindsay match without a hiccup. 4 aces, no double faults - can't complain there. Can't wait for the match with Hingis!

I didn't see the match but I did see alot of Martina play during the aussie summer. Lindsay doesn't need a very high first serve percentage to beat Martina just be her consistant self off the ground, one thing Lindsay has done better in the last few years is play defense. Martina's second serve hasn't improved that much and Lindsay will still have a field day with it. I think Lindsay will win in straight sets as Martina has beat one top ten player and that was Maria who is very inconsistant. In the end the best player on the day will win.

great match,linny-baby! :bounce:  but beware of the "swiss miss",because she is surely even more eager after her recent defeats...so,IMO,it will be a very levelled match between those two...
go,linny!!

Good work Lindsay :yeah:
No lapses against Martina please though ;)
4 aces, 0 double faults - good stats, but I'd like to see that first serve percentage a little higher.

Lindsay will kill Martina's second serve and that's the match right there. Lindsay in 3

Does anyone else have a feeling that, after having a stuttered start to her year, Linzi is going to get righ into top gear this week?
After her first 2 matches, I just see this as being the start of some serious momentumm for Linzi. She loves Indian Wells, and also loves nothing better than batterng the shit out of Martina Hingis second serve, which should cheer her up no end.
I'm hoping she'll win this tournament and follow it up with Miami and Amelia Island.
