And the elusive Jennifer Capriati? Out until at least the summer hard courts and possibly beyond, and that comes from a very strong source. She's not hitting yet and is on a Tommy Haas type schedule of recovery from shoulder surgery, which means a good two years before she gets a decent win - and then she'll be 31.

Better that she takes time to heal & recuperate properly now so that she can come back for one final throw of the dice.

At least she is trying to come back, how old is she now? i'm not sure how many good years she would have, but she would bring some personality to the tour.

I don't know if any of you know much about astrology but Jen is an Aries...The youngest sign of the Zodiac, Not only that but she was born during the first week of Aries...The week of the Child. What this means is that she will be eternally youthful and I think that if she wants a comeback she will have one and it could be at a very high level. But it is all up to her, if she wants it enough she will make it happen, P

She is turning 30 later this month. She has already announced she WILL be back and she also has a protected ranking of #10.

I didn't know that about the Aries. Very interesting, thanks for posting. :yeah:

She will be back, guranteed! Maybe not this month or the next, but later this year or early next year for sure. If her intentions were retirement, she would have done it by now. The Jen comeback is still in the making! :)

She has to come back by Nov. 2006 to get her protected ranking

the recovery would probably be easier if she had decent lungs.

Matt Cronin from tennisreporters is an ass. This is the same dick head who ran the story about Jen and a porn star. Whatever.... I trust Charles Brickner from the Florida Sun Sentinal.... he ACTUALLY has had conversations with Jenny, unlike ahole Matt Cronin, and he has reported that she may very well be back for the French, and if not, for the summer hard court season at the latest......

Why do tennis players injure themselves so easily and stay out for so long? I play tennis at a very intense level almost everyday and workout really hard and the worst injury I've ever had since I was born was an ankle sprain that took about a week to heel and I was playing tennis before the end of that.

as long as she comes back one day...anyway the most important thing is that she is happy and that she is not saying "I stop my career" if she needs to rest let's her rest if she needs time let's her take it it will not be her fist comeback in the world of tennis and I'm sure that even at 31 she will still be able to win a GS!

:haha: :haha: That was my laugh of day!

All those slugs of the beer must have done Jen's shoulder in!

Anyway, as for her coming back, she will return, I'm pretty sure of that :)

If she dosen't get her ass into gear old Stefano will be pushing up the daisies before she appears and it's not the same without that old bugger sitting up in the stand :fiery:

Capriati should stick with it. Fully heal then come back. So many players (on her level and a notch below) are playing their best tennis in the latter stages of their career. Canít wait to see her back on court! :)

Where does Charles ever say he had a conversation with Jennifer? He never says this in his blog. They are basically saying the same thing - the timing of when she may be back is what is a little different. Remember Charles originally thought Jenn was going to be back for the Australian Open.

In several of his recent columns this year, he has stated he spoke with Jennifer. Can't imagine it would be any different for his blog update.

Matt Cronin is getting all his Jen info second and third hand. She hasn't been talking to him ever since he claimed Jen was dating Dale DePorn.

I won't believe that Capriati is coming back, until she walks onto a tennis court to play a match.
