With 14 players in the top 140...
Sofia Arvidsson (SWE) #31,
Emma Laine (FIN) #67,
Maret Ani (EST) #77,
Viktoriya Kutuzova (UKR) #86,
Kaia Kanepi (EST) #91,
Olga Savchuk (UKR) #101,
Alona Bondarenko (UKR) #102,
Anastasiya Yakimova (BLR) #104
Yuliana Fedak (UKR) #112
Kateryna Bondarenko (UKR) #117
Mariya Koryttseva (UKR) #124
Viktoria Azarenka (BLR) #129
Tatiana Poutchek (BLR) #137
and talented junior Caroline Wozniacki (DEN)

Will this region be more dominant than China in the future considering that most of these players are under 22.

 Poutchek & Koryttseva?

 Yeah, they are going to be the driving force behind tennis for the years to come.

There are some strong players in there, but they won't challenge the Top 15 on a regular basis.

Tatiana Perebiynis is climbing up strongly from her time off. :) nearly top 200 again, she'll be top 100 again in no time, and will work her way up :)

Yeah, Tatiana will be in top 100 again ;)
But I still don't think that it's new force, only Arvidsson in Top 50 and no shoking victories....yet...

Catarina Lindqvist is the Swedish player to have reached the highest ranking in the modern era - she peaked at #10. I can't see Sofia surpassing that. Asa Svensson peaked at #28 so that's attainable for Sofia.

As far as I know Nanne Dahlman is the highest ranking Finnish player in the Open era - she reached #59 so Emma Laine has a real shot at overtaking her.
