What's your opinion, can Dementieva win the title or go to the final in this tournament? Only if she won't do more than 7 double faults in MAIN matches?
She had so impressive win over Hingis in Tokio... But then lost to Clijsters 57 61 62, trailing in first set 3-5, but caught her rythm and won 4 straight games, but then... Is this was Dementieva or her double?...
Post your opinions.

Lena could win any event against anyone if she shows her best tennis. Who knows whether it will surface here...I sorta hope it comes out in Miami and the clay court season, topping off at Roland Garros, but that's just me.

Elena got a pretty good draw, there are six qualifiers and a wild card in her quarter.
Come on, Elena, take the title!!!

Cool draw, really. It's a chance not to fly out in the 1st or 2nd round. She will save strength to battle with Mauresmo, Pierce, Davenport...
It's amasing... I saw new porche race... Nadia is 4 points away from 3th place in the race (599 Petrova, 603 - Sharapova). Just - WOW.... :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Many reporters and I were thinking many times: if Lena could win with 12-15-17 double faults .. and even beat TOP-10 playes with this statistics... what will be if she has 1-3 DF in general?
When she had beaten Clijsters in three sets, with the score 6-2 in the 3 set, Clijsters said: "Dementieva is the most hard-hitting person on the tour... when SHE IS IN..."
Where's the consistency? She can lose in the 1st round... and can win... What's a humour in the season 2004 Grand Slam statistics: 1 round, Final, 1 round, final....
And remember FedCup... She has beaten both Mauresmo, Pierce and Mauresmo and Pierce together in doubles with Safina ....
Find the LEVEL and do not step away from it, Lena...
You can beat anyone...

The only person as of right now I see stopping her is Justine Henin-Hardenne, who will without a doubt win this title.

Well done, Lena! 6:3 6:2 (1h 06 min on court). 8 DF's (5 first set + 3 second). So, according to this fact, if there were NO double faults, the score would be 6:0 6:0.
Total DF's of 3 matches: 16+18+8 = 42. Well... 3 times more than anyone else? ...
Next for Lena is Ana Ivanovic (8). It's gonna be Lena's most tough match here... But isn't the score 5:7 6:4 6:4 extremely tough? No!! For Lena the score - 6:7 7:6 7:6 - this is TOUGH! :bounce:
Let's go, Lena. Less DF's! Safe your power for Justine!!!

Is she in the final? Yes. Has she managed to come through matches when she has not been at her best? Yes. Did she get back from 6-2 5-2 down against Henin-Hardenne? Yes. Has she beaten Sharapova before? Yes!
