She's also the only athlete to make a list of 50 women.

Damn...what kind of underachieving women they have in Russia for a two bit tennis player to be #5 on a list of 50? No offense to Maria but if you put a list of the 50 most successfull American women togather...There would be no tennis player on it...or atleast not in the top 30 with powerhouses like Oprah :tape:

Don't you have to be in Russia more than once in 10 years and paying taxes to be russian or is she just conveniently russian?

Actually, including her in the list is the answer to your question. Now you and your buddies could relax: Maria said she's Russian and Russian society has accepted her.
