I think those double faults in the ad court really wracked her nerves...they did mine.

Congrats to Shenay. Nice win.

She certainly is the laid back kinda girl, really not shy, just nonchalant a lil ;)

I think Shenay has a great style. The big forehand and all-court style and that very unusual (nowadays) biting slice backhand!

I think Shenay actually has a pretty face, but she could use a makeover!

Good match! Shenay's got a nice game to watch: powerful forehand, nice slice, and she hits a one-handed topspin backhand when she wants...sweet! She's also VERY cute

Hey All,

This was the first time I've seen Nay-Nay play all the way. I mean - she gots game. I love her one handed backhand - and especially when she slices it.

Congratulations to her - and yes - she did seem shy. She didn't even wave to the crowd or give a fist pump upon victory. It takes all kinds - I always say, and surely she was excited and happy. She had it going on.

I like Emma's game too. If her serve had of been on a little - it would have been a better match IME.

"WAY TO GO - SHENAY" "WINNING - THE FIRST LAS VEGAS WOMEN'S TITLE"

I bet many of the toppers will book that tourney next year. And how about Gael winning the Paddle tourney? I loved it. It was the first time he ever picked up a paddle. How much does anyone want to bet that this L. V. toruney put some innovative tips on the map, as it pertains to other activities. Watch the U.S. Open pick some of them up. They say Gael made the newspapers in Paris. Look out paddle tennis - here we come.

Way to go Tennis Channel!

ITF's.. Are those important

WOW, I hope for you that wasn't serious!

Itf are essential. You aren't a real tennis fan if you are interested only in the top 10 tennis players. You are falling in the WTA's goal to focus on the only few girls that get tennis popular, and not the hundreds of players who are fighting to make both ends meet each and every single tournament they play. Without ITF, tennis wouldn't be where it is at, and most top players wouldn't have the needed experience of match play. And without ITF, tennis would only be a popularity show.

Your comment really summarizes a very popular feeling of tennis fans. Sad, but true

ITF's.. Are those important
It is to lower ranked and/or unranked players, it gives them a start at tennis and a chance to get a higher rank so they can play WTA tornaments. with out them over half the pro players would not even be playing tennis. With out them it would be only the best geting into tournaments it would be about about 1000 times more competitive, and players could not evn live off their winnings if their was no ITF. The ITF (what I belive) is the back bone of the pro tennis world.

ITF isn't only the backbone, but the entire body of the WTA!

Shenay played very well. She moved well and got to every ball Emma hit. However, Shanay needs a jolt of confidence. I think all the injuries she has had make her less confident than she should be. Her ranking at one time was in the 60s and then she got injured and was out a couple of months. That can take a lot out of a player.

Hopefully she'll have a good draw at Indian Wells and get a few rounds under her belt. She's fun to watch.

Well if anything can give a player confidence is winning the biggest ITF title of her career.

Hopefully, this tournament will see her get back to where she was before the injury and perhaps even higher in the rankings.
