In the coming months which title do you think Serena will win?

Out of that selection i dont think she will win any, the top players at the moment are playing so well at the moment, and serena has been in and out in and out of tournaments

lets walk first before we run.
What player in the top 30 will she beat?

TeaMMashA
Mar 5th, 2006, 12:50 AM
Well she is capable of beating them all she has shown that in the past but take into consideration alot of things like matches, fitness etc

I dont think anyone can realistically count this girl out. Because seriously, its happened before, shes gone off the charts and BAM! she wins titles out of the blue...and everyones like "what just happened?"

I think Miami is a title she loves and wants bad, and i dont count her out there. She does need to raise her game, but still think shes a contender for alot of titles.

Maybe she thrives on being the underdog?

Serena is a huge star, and shes opbviously got a great game, but she cant rely on her power to win all her matches anymore, and i think thats why shes losing some of these matches.

But to say she cant win a slam, or even more so, a title on the tour is a bit much. Serena will win again, and really its a matter of "when is she gonna get the boat up and moving" and "what title does she want next"?

Serena has work to do, but even if she doesnt do the work, she still has a shot. Underdog or not.

I see serena winning titles Post- Wimbledon. I think if her fitness improves, and she gets some match practice, She'll be a real contender for the USO. I actually have a feeling she'll win it.

In fact, i think she could surprise a many people at Wimbledon. When her health is at a good level, she's currently the undisputed world champion in tennis. She has great fight, power, athleticism and Variety in her play. Hopefully her being sidelined and having some pretty embarassing losses will spur her on to fight back. I may not be a big fan, but i really miss her.

Comeback!!

I think the "Other" option should be added to the poll, it is BIASED. There are more titles post wimbledon (hence in the YEAR) and she IMO has a better shot at those. She needs time.

I don't see her winning any clay court titles yet; you need to be fit to win on clay and she still has some work to do. She's surprised us before though. I think she'll win a summer hardcourt title and make a run at the US Open; she usually plays pretty well there.

She can win any tournament she enters when she's fit and in good tennis form. Right now I don't see her winning those ones listed, but if she gets it all together she can.

Personally, I think Serena is getting something special ready and is keeping her body fresh for the the RG/W/USO trio. Anyone who understimates this woman is only wishfully thinking.

For anyone to straight up say Serena will not win a title is :retard: She MAY not win one, but all of us that have been watching Serena for years know that she's capable of just about anything.

Would love to see the old Serena back. At her peak she was the best player of the 21st century up until now.
But her time is over - she won't come back .....

I don't see her winning anything this year. I think that people think that she can do nothing and suddenly out of nowhere win, but they are thinking of old Serena plus IMO the tour is very deep at the top right now-new Serena doesn't have a chance if she doesn't get match-tough and quite frankly it's sad because she has done this to herself, injuries or not. I thought last year that the Australian was a bit of a fluke and I think the fact that she won it did more damage than good. I hope she gets her act together soon though, I do miss her. P.S. Is she really practicing Bikram yoga? I thought that I read that somewhere...if she is good for her because it's very challenging, P

Are you stating that as fact?

Out of those, I don't think she will win any. She could make a maybe semi-final or quarter-final run at Wimbledon, but then I can see her causing a bit more damage. I predict she will win in LA and Stanford and US Open. And possibly China Open.

I can't make any real predictions, as we don't yet know what tournaments she will be playing, but oh well. :p
