I found this hard to believe - but it's the first time EVER that a Mexican woman has won a singles match in MD or qualifying in Acapulco :o :o :o :o

Yep is pathetic ;), but in fact none had won in Acapulco, Hernandez's wins came when the event was held in Mexico City (the only place you can assure a Mexican has a chance to win).

Doubles wins in Acapulco came with Echagaray/Gallardo I think 2 years ago and Torres/Sanchez-Vicario 3 years ago I believe?
