Hey I was wondering if you guys could help me write a Valentine's poem for school. We have a project where we're assigned a person for Valentine's Day and have to write poetry for them and recite it. It doesn't have to be long, just about 20-30 seconds but I'm at a complete loss! Rep points to anyone who gives me a good poem! ;)

Uhm could we copy from someone who is not that famous or does it have to be the one and only new poem to get the next poetry award or Pulitzer?

Pretty much the one and only new poem.

I've only started, now it's not finished yet, but how about.......

Roses are red
Violets are blue
They'll need dental records
To identify you

Roses are red
You make my cock blue
I want to suck you dick
And fuck you hard, too.

So you want to get married
For the rest of your life
I would rather have Dick Cheney
To be my lawful wife

Example (let's see how many know this love poem)

Empty make this bed,
Make this bed with awe,
In it wait, till judgement brake -
Excellent and fair.

Be it's pillow straight,
be it's pillow round -
let no sunrise's yellow noise,
interrupt this ground.

OK, I give up, Creep is much better than Emily Dickinson.

Here's one a little longer, the point being the same as my prose above.

Full moon in the city
And the night was young
I was hungry for love
I was hungry for fun

I was hunting you down
And I was the bait
When I saw you there
I didnít mean to hesitate

This is the night
This is the night
This is the time weíve got to get it right

(this is the night)
Touch me, touch me
I want to feel your body
Your heart beat next to mine
(this is the night)
Touch me, touch me now

Quick as a flash you disappeared into the night
Did I hurt you boy?
Didnít I treat you right?
You made me feel so good
Made me feel myself
Now Iím alone & youíre with somebody else

This is the night, yeah
This is the night
This is the time weíve got to get it right

(this is the night)
Touch me, touch me
I want to feel your body
Your heart beat next to mine
(this is the night)
Touch me, touch me now
Touch me, touch me now
Touch me, touch me now

Hot & cold emotions confusing my brain
I could not decide between pleasure & pain
Like a tramp in the night
I was begging you
To treat my body like you wanted to

Uh....
Uh, itís begging for you

(this is the night)
Touch me, touch me
I want to feel your body
Your heart beat next to mine
(this is the night)
ícos I want your body all the time

(this is the night)
Touch me, touch me
I want to feel your body
Your heart beat next to mine
(this is the night)
ícos I want your body all the time

Funny you should mention her name, but what was it she said on her death bed, her final utterance? Do you know?

No, I think she was a frustrated virgin.

Cupid Killed My Wallet

After Valentine's Dinner
I'm not any thinner
And I'm totally broke.

". . . the fog is rising"

I always wondered about that - shouldn't it get clouded at the end
